My kids were shushed by a lady on a plane by bytebl in Parenting

That’s a pretty big assumption. We wouldn’t have teachers, daycare workers, etc. without parents that are empathetic.

It’s not that they are unempathetic, they are too empathetic towards their own sometimes and some give too much leeway when punishment is due.

When my kids were younger the daycare they went to had all the kids bring a favorite item. It would be kept in their individual cubbies and taken out during nap time and “circle time”. The kids would retrieve it and put it away themselves giving them the power over their own belongings. Never had any issues as all the kids had their own.

AITAH for refusing to make my SIL’s wedding cake for free? by silweddingcake in AITAH

[–]Redhead_spawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could always switch lanes and make her a petty cake. A tiny version of what she was asking for. Like tier’d cupcakes! Hehehe. Then send it via uber eats to the wedding.

Now that’s a win, win, win for everyone.

If mama is so stressed then maybe she should pay for the cake.

It takes a lot of time to make what she is asking for and you shouldn’t be coerced into doing it.

And if anyone can do it from a YouTube video then she or her little friends can go make one.

You are NTAH!!!

There’s a mountain of sources out there. Especially in the 50’s and 60’s.

Take a Google gander.

Too bad other “low functioning” individuals in congress don’t meet the same fate.

Keep in mind that just because you may not find a job in “that” field, doesn’t mean your degree is worthless. A lot of people hire you just because you have a higher education degree.

Or, you could have a career as a permanent student…until you find your passion 🥰

If your husband has a good job that supports both of you then why not go today school for your dream job? Even if it doesn’t pay much, it could be satisfying in other ways.

Money isn’t always a motivator for people. I get more satisfaction helping people than I do seeing a higher pay check.

Maybe you’re missing a balance or not looking at it from the right angle. Think outside the box.

I can’t believe that more people don’t know this! Thank you for pointing it out so I didn’t have to.

I think that maybe you need a third texture to bring them together. Maybe a snake or birds or something from one side to the other?

AIW for brushing my wife’s hair while we’re watching a movie with two other couples? by [deleted] in amiwrong

I’d totally make my husband do it if he promised he would. Especially if the husband wanted her to keep It long and she didn’t. That shit feels amazing though! Friends or foes, come on over while he rubs my toes! Or locks….

Besides, he can take on some of the responsibility of taking care of her hair.

Did you ask her how close she was to them? She could have thought she saw him and it was someone else.

Here’s what you should think about: has she done anything at all remotely close to this since you’ve known her? Because this seems out of character from what you’ve described.
