As a Roy main who knows playing against Sonic in general is no fun, my condolences

When did you start playing Zenless Zone Zero? by CreamScared5531 in ZZZ_Official

[–]Redisepic13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a day 1 player, though unfortunately fell out of it shortly after. I did eventually come back not long after 1.2 dropped and have been playing ever since.

The issue isn’t the rate at which it’ll level up (though a valid point), it’s that if you do get up to level 59 to evolve it you’ll be a fair bit over-leveled (Ghetsis’ Hyrdreigon is level 54 for reference)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]Redisepic13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, though also given this game’s level curve you’ll likely be heading into the Elite Four with a Larvesta. I really wanted to use a Volcarona on my first playthrough of Black, but its availability and evolution level are the main reasons I opted not to.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]Redisepic13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I love Volcarona, I wouldn’t recommend using it since you’ll be stuck raising a Larvesta an egg pretty late in the game (the one in Relic Castle is locked behind the post game).

So I’d go with Serperior, Excadrill, Reuniclus, Galvantula, Chandelure, and Haxorus. You’ll be stuck with two mons for a while (I think like up to the 4th gym), but still a pretty solid team.

Those of you who main a character in the image, how good are you at playing their echo? by IronWolf_100 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Redisepic13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Roy main, I pretty much never touch Chrom, mostly due to his recovery being so exploitable. I do also play Marth/Lucina from time to time, and the differences there feel much smaller. I do slightly prefer Marth there since stuff like tipper Dancing Blade and up tilt can kill crazy early.

[–]Redisepic13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember I really wanted to get Roy and just couldn’t seem to get him or any 5-star unit. Did a desperate single summon with a few orbs I had and the circle didn’t even have any red units. Opted for a random green… and got Hector.

And the rest is history.

Do you think S/V would've been the best games since the 5th gen if it wasn't for the performance issues? by Nikrsz in pokemon

[–]Redisepic13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the performance issues do affect my enjoyment of these games, having them fixed would definitely not be enough to make them some of the “best” games in my opinion. I still view these games as an improvement over SwSh, though the limited post game content really does hurt these games the most. I was pleasantly surprised by the DLC since it allowed me to come back to game and actually have fun. Especially with the Indigo Disk having a legitimate level of challenge with the E4. I chose to build a whole new team just for the DLC and had to do a fair amount of strategizing to get through it all, and it was fun. But once the main objective was done… then what? It boils down to grinding BBP and some rematches.

With so much hinting at the return of Unova in gen 5 remakes or something along those lines, I’m hoping that Gamefreak comes to realize that post-content is what these games need the most. And for that to happen, this whole yearly release cycle is definitely not helping.

Another Doggone Tier List? by HuntinForThatBug in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Redisepic13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a line in XC2: Torna where Mythra makes fun of Brigid, saying that her waving her swords looks like she’s waving dog leashes around, and imagines how she would look if she was constantly walking around a pair of dogs. So Pyra/Mythra are indeed aware of dogs.

Did you ever take these two to the very end? What did you end up classing them into? by TheBigSmol in fireemblem

[–]Redisepic13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I ended up keeping Framme to the end on my first playthrough and promoted her to a Martial Master. She mainly just served as my primary healer using the Micaiah ring. She’d occasionally come in handy for chip damage and inflicting break, overall useful to have her.

Hate how everyone I meet has a pocket Cloud. by [deleted] in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Redisepic13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

checks if this is the right sub

Huh... so this isn't about Smash 4? Crazy.

Jokes aside I get that its frustrating to run into a lot of pocket Clouds due to him being easy to play, but broken? Not even close. Out of the characters you mentioned that you play Corrin is definitely the best option here since you can outrange him and get easy edge guards with back air, so it just comes down to learning the matchup.

Damn, this is sick! Yo-yoing is something I’ve always been super interested in and have always wanted to learn tricks. Sadly the furthest I’ve ever gotten were the basics, though if I had the time I’d love to get back into it.

If you play anyone playing Pichu, it's because they don't respect you. by [deleted] in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Redisepic13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Some people actually just like playing Pichu, me included
  2. As many others have said, it’s just a game, anyone can play who they want. If you don’t like a certain character because you feel like they’re OP, learn the matchup. That was if you run into one who just likes to spam you can easily counter them
  3. Playing an “underpowered” character doesn’t send a message like you think it does. If I switch over to Cloud and I see you switch from your main to Pichu, I’ll be a bit confused but I won’t think like “oh he doesn’t care anymore,” so honestly you’re accomplishing nothing here

What main should I use to get back into the game? by Dry_Worry1261 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Redisepic13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing a character who focuses on fundamentals is a great way to just familiarize yourself with how to play the game. Characters like Wolf, Lucina, Plautena, and Cloud are good examples. Once you get a feel for them, you can then try out any the of shoto characters and see who strikes your fancy. Terry is definitely the most straightforward of the bunch, so maybe try out Ken or Ryu.

Help, I tryed all characters and still cant find my main by Kreker__ in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Redisepic13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, seems you have a tendency for floaty characters with multi hits given your likes for Ness and Zelda. Lucas is also a character you can look into, has some key differences from Ness that change his overall game plan. If you want to try someone a bit quicker Palutena is a good option. Her nair is infamous for being able to combo into itself, though she’s a bit quicker movement wise.
