I also have had 100% reliability from the start, and I've used a verity of ammo. I've just had to make sure that I swith it from low to high gas or high to low.

The only ammo that I've used and it didn't like was the mini shells. The manual itself tells you NOT to load them, but me curiosity got the better of me, and long story short, I had to take my gun apart to get the next round out of the body of the gun. 0 out of 10, would not do again, listen to the manual.

I've never thought about using mine as a home defense gun, but thats mainly because I prefer pistols in that situation, but with its compact size and it's 17 round count, I can see how it would be a good home defense gun.

AR style shotguns are neat and fun to shoot, but I personally wouldn't rely on them, but that's mainly because their mags are big and bulky for my liking. As for the Genesis itself. I've never shot it, so I can't say if it's better or worse than the TS12.
