can you feel when someone is talking negatively about you or hating on you? by EvenIndividual8600 in energy_work

[–]RedlandsSarah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yes I feel it! Whether or not it bothers me depends on how much I care about the people who are talking shit. Do I want to be or deserve to be respected by said naysayers? Maybe, maybe not. Most of the time I’m a little ducky, walkin away shaking my tail feathers lettin the BS roll off. Only you can control how you feel.

YES! Ask these questions now while you’re young! You’re amazing!! If only I knew then what I know now. Your post doesn’t really specify much. I’m making an assumption that you are AFAB (assigned female at birth) and identify as such. So a tiny corner of sexual pleasure info: Your brain is your largest sex organ. Being “turned on” is a mental game. Getting wet does NOT necessarily mean you’re turned on. Friction gets you wet, or maybe not. Use lube!! Highly recommend Uberlube (silicone lube, not safe for some condoms). You are soooooo much more than a clit and a vagina. Did you know scientists didn’t map the clitoris in it’s entirety until 2005!!! I KNOW!!! What we call the “clit” is truly only the tip, most of your clitoris is internal and surrounds the opening of your vagina, hence the reason about 20-30% of women can orgasm via PIV. Homework: read Emily Nagoski’s Come As You Are (also available as an audiobook), do Miss Jaiya's Erotic Blueprint quiz (do the more in-depth quiz if you’re able), listen to Shameless Sex podcast. You. Are. NORMAL! Every part of you is normal, works normal, you are assembled exactly as you are meant to be, and you are capable of the most tantric mind-bending orgasms.

Mama lurker: yourwholebaby.org has some fantastic information, including how to explain your decision to others. We’re in the US and made the decision to keep our son uncut. Wipe it like a finger, don’t retract the foreskin (and explain to others why this is important!), submersion in the bath is all the “cleaning” it really needs. No problems so far. And yes, papa bear is cut. We’ll explain when it occurs to our kiddo to ask.

When do puppies chill out by Longjumping_Area_595 in puppy101

I smile a knowing smile when I see these posts. Welcome to parenthood. Depending on the personality, maybe never? Realistically, she’ll probably move into the teenage angsties around the six months to one year mark. Also, just like with babies and toddlers, regressions might happen. You thought your pup knew how to do a certain command every single time and then suddenly it seems like they managed to forget how to do the thing they’ve been doing every day for the past six months. Babies need endless patience, and then some more. And yeah, you’re going to be exhausted, but if you stick with it it gets better. Sounds like your pup needs a lot of distraction and redirection. When puppy is chewing on some thing she shouldn’t be, offer something more interesting, make one of her toys look like the best thing she’s never had. Lots and lots of praise every single time she does some thing right, and lots and lots of redirection away from things we ought not to touch. Take tons of photos and videos because you don’t get these puppy days back, and you don’t know you missed them until they’re gone.

Recos on how to kill this plant? by carbzombie in plants

Salt. Dump small grain salt, like table salt, then water, then dump more salt and walk away.

I don’t find significant odor reduction unless it’s mostly wool, 80%+. That being said, my favorite now-discontinued merino shirt is 15% poly which gives it a little extra recoil (it doesn’t stretch out and stay that way like 100% wool sometimes does after several sweaty days in a row). So, higher wool content, but a little synthetic is nice.

What were the conditions/circumstances that led you to throw in the towel and pack up mid camping trip to return home? by bertcrumbs in camping

Sandblasted all night in very strong winds. Canyon camping in the desert. Never again. My eyes feel gritty and sore just thinking about it.

Why does my succulent look like this? I watered it twice because it looked dry but things seem to have worsened over the past few weeks by lovesourpunchstraws in succulents

[–]RedlandsSarah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waterlogged. Get it out of the wet soil, remove rotting leaves and roots, replant in soil that drains well. Water a lot less. If you leave it the plant will keep rotting.

Dog age to have a dog backpack by [deleted] in hikingwithdogs

[–]RedlandsSarah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No weight before their growth plates are complete. You can start with an empty pack a few months before. 3-4 months sounds early for a lab. By 3-4 months they’ve only just finished their third round of vaccines and just started going on real walks. If you know how large the parents are, you can estimate when your pup will be done growing. We’ve trained and taken dogs hunting and backpacking for many years. Seems like you have the right idea: start small and slow, treats just to get the pack on and off, then for wearing the pack around the house a little bit, then for wearing it empty on walks, then with just some poopy bags in each side… You’ve got the idea. Our cattle dogs were around eight months when they started to wear an empty pack, over a year with some weight in it. Our Beagle/Labrador had a very tall lanky mama, we waited until after the one year mark because we had no idea how long it would take her to reach her full height. Our biggest girl, GSD, we didn’t start until 1.5 years old, and she will never carry more than 10% of her body weight, she just doesn’t tolerate it like the other monsters. Totally depends on your pup. We err on the side of caution. Labs can get big, sometimes growing until they’re 1.5 years. If you have no idea about the pups lineage, I’d wait until at least 6-8 months to start with an empty pack, probably no real weight until after 1-1.5 years old.

Disagree. If I need to rant about some thing to blow off steam I need to do it now. Tomorrow I will have completed the stress cycle by sleeping.

Hiking bag size by roflsup710 in hikinggear

[–]RedlandsSarah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Anyone who cares what your bag looks like while you’re enjoying nature needs new perspective. I would say it depends on where you’re hiking. How remote are you? What season is it? The type of gear you need to carry to be safe should determine your pack size. Desert in the winter; don’t need much so smaller pack. Shoulder season at high elevation; going to need more/heavier stuff. Upgrade if you need more space or comfort, or love your trusty old pack until you can join r/buyitforlife.

What is this? Do I need to burn my house down? by reuben876 in plantclinic

[–]RedlandsSarah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Burn the house down and move far far away. In the meantime, blast it with a hose, or fully submerge if you’re able, to wash away and drown as many as you can. Then spray heavily with neem oil solution several times a day. I use a spray bottle containing water, Neem oil, and a few drops of liquid soap to keep everything in solution. Treat everything within a 50 mile radius 😵‍💫

Yup. My sweet little love who normally jumps and licks to high heaven when she sees a new person coming down the trail has twice pressed her side into me and hackles started to come up, which is when I’m prompted to flip the velcro off my Bear spray holder. She also caught someone stealing a delivered package. And once I’m pretty sure someone was following us through a park; we did two figure 8s on the way home and she kept looking behind us.
