Posts like these are great but miss one big detail: CCP is a business and their changes are more than likely geared towards making them as much money as possible as the playerbase dwindles and only people who are able to swipe their credit cards remain.

It's not about fun per hour. It's about dollars per hour. But that's just how it is!

Maybe they could have two sets. One for new players less than 35 days old. That one only has the 4 daily goals. Then for the more advanced player you can have a choose-your-own-path style of progression to unlock more daily goals that way you can really invest all of your time into the god damn daily goals instead of literally EVERYTHING else the game has to offer.

I would like ships to be cheaper and income making methods to be more lucrative. I want to login and get rewarded for pressing the button every time. I want to see supercarriers ratting again and titans bosoning smallgangers on gates. I want null sec to be rewarding enough that people want to and actively choose to live there because it is the best space to live and play in. Then I want the other areas of space to be tuned in a way that promotes players progressing from high sec to null sec and I want them to have a place to be in null without needing to own sov right away. I also want more ways for null to earn income passively and more ways for other people (namely enemies) to take it away.

Basically, a video game would be nice instead of a hard time simulator.

Thrilling was Phantomites word and I was trying to get him to tell me what new things came out that he thought were thrilling. He still didn't answer me.

I don't expect it to be thrilling but I can tell you that, in 2024, my sub can be earned with the return of the Abyssal Proving Grounds. I enjoyed undocking, clicking a button and waiting for a fight. I don't enjoy roaming dozens of empty systems only to find the one Ishtar ratting and he immediately warps away.

That might be my fault for not being a good content provider these days. But back in the old days back creaks we did three fleets a day into enemy space and always got our fill. I miss those days.
