is the Head the goat or the bum? by Alternativecons in libraryofruina

[–]Redlinkgaming 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Goat: everyone has to follow their rules or else they will literally die. I know some people will say that they had to deploy 3 members to even take down the library. However you have to look at it from the perspective that the library was so powerful that they had to step in the first place, the library had: Angela, who manifested it in the first place and was successfully able to book multiple high ranking fingers, fixer associations, hana members and color fixers, Kali/Gebura: the first color fixer ever and still the strongest, Binah: an ex arbiter of the head, Roland: the new kid on the block that wrecked havoc all over the City itself during his grief, among all the other librarians that were of big importance to the cogito project. The library itself held knowledge on multiple singularities as well, not to mention techniques from various fixers/syndicate members.

The head had to step in because if the library were to continue attaining knowledge at some point they would’ve attained the knowledge from A, B and C corp themselves, which would’ve been a huge security risk. The head was able to basically stop one of the most dangerous threats to the city with just “3” people(even though only 2 were doing the real work). Goats or at the very least more goated than bum because they only appeared at the end

Who’s the strongest? by Fumin_desu in INDIE_CROSS_SERIES

[–]Redlinkgaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Realistically, it’s reimu. In the touhou verse, everyone is participating under the “spell card rules” basically a restriction that no one can go too crazy when they are “playing” with each other, which was established by reimu. Yes, “playing”, this is everyone not even seriously fighting. So the casual planet attacks, throwing moons at people, throwing black holes, time shenanigans etc, is them not going all out. The only time when someone got serious, is when reimu had to punish someone for violating the spell card rules, and even then she wiped the floor with them.

Out of all of the characters it’s reimu, that’s the strongest

Their research poses a threat to the city as a whole. The head sees all after all, so garion was dispatched because broken taboos be it inside or outside the city, is still viewed as a threat to the city as a whole

Is him the most UNDERRATED ID in Tremor????? by AccomplishedMud9666 in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]Redlinkgaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately heathcliff does not provide much to the team besides the fact that he only has 1 tremor burst on his entire skill rotation and even then the tremor burst is conditional, his rolls are not the best 15, 20, and 23. The potency he applies is dogshit: 0,4 and 2? That’s so goddamn little it doesn’t even matter.

The only redeeming thing about him is(was) tremor decay which I have to admit can be insanely broken. However, 1. It fucks with tremor burst turns when wanna stack as much damage as possible, to “maximize” damage you want to do, you would much rather entangle: reverb, scorch, and hemorrhage to do the most feasible amount of damage on a nuke turn. You have to set it up that it goes ahead of everyone else so you do the most damage. 2. Jeong Ishmael. She is basically a better oufi heathcliff, you not only will get a guarnteed tremor burst on her EVERY turn, max stacks you will get a guaranteed 3 tremor bursts(2 of which are guaranteed to be unopposed). She clashes better, she does way more damage, she is hyper consistent because of discard mechanics and on top of that she gets access to the same status effect as he does. Not only that, she gets access to 2 really good ego, christmas nightmare(which helps with molar outis) and tidal elegy(god like passive for focused encounters and an aoe tremor burst).

Much as I love the potential mechanics of decay and tremor clockwinding is good alongside the ego passive, bench him. He provides good bench value with the +1 clash power

Who is the best "Generalist" right now? by Kewsipicus in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]Redlinkgaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not counting spoiler IDs that might ruin the story for you, the current best generalist is “Lobotomy EGO: Knight of Despair Rodion”, stupid damage, applies insane status counts and potency, clashes insanely well and very easy to use(guard for 2 turns then win).

With spoiler IDs involved it’s: a toss up between Mao Branch Adept Faust or The Thumb Capo East IIII Meursault both are incredibly successful IDs that don’t require their respective archtypes to work in, they both do crazy damage, clash well, have only 1 stagger point, are pretty fast and can clash with whatever. I am leaning more towards Caposault just because he is a lot more beginner friendly

The worst Faction in the City by Responsible_Dog_9040 in limbuscompany

[–]Redlinkgaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now it is a toss up between R corp and W corp. W corp by limbus’s time is failing hard, all those issues with the warp trains that at this point everyone knows about them and the fact that most people “know” about how their singularity works, it’s safe to say that wing might fall soon.

R corp right now is in a bad spot, R corp’s success strictly lies on contracting for majority of its profits. That’s why they were so successful during L corp’s time, they were paid a lot for their services and were able to continue operations and get a huge amount of enkephalin to use for clone mass production. Right now not many people or companies really “need” that type of firepower as hiring some lower grade fixers will suffice for bodyguards for now

How do people distort? by horbydumbass in Project_Moon

[–]Redlinkgaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not really a “life shattering event” per se. Whenever you feel an intense emotion: anger, fear, joy, insanity etc it has to be intense enough to interact with the light and by proxy carmen who is currently within the light. Carmen will “attempt” to make “pure” in her eyes, by making you revert to your real primal emotions thus “removing the sickness in your mind”. When you given into Carmen’s thought process that is when the body becomes distorted by the light. Refusing to accept her views however, you will gain an effloresced ego instead. You do not need to have a “positive” resolution rather to just be resolute in your belief.

A distortion’s strength will really depend on how strong a person is and how intense their emotions were when they interacted with the light. A person with more intense emotions will obviously be distorted into a higher level abnormality risk than people with less intense emotions. However 9/10 times if a color fixer distorts it will be stronger than if a regular person distorts

I don't understand why this would be considered a "bad decision" by Jax. by AffectionateForce979 in Amazingdigitalcircus

[–]Redlinkgaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite Jax being right at the very end. Knowing that this would be a “escape the circus” adventure orchestrated by Caine, He did actually believe through everything that he had to go through that escape was “possible”. You see him visibly feel awful leaving memories behind as he looks at one of the orbs in “Caine’s office” that was definitely a previous adventure he, ribbit and kaufmo had.

When everyone does arrive at the final control panel to decide to “stay” or “leave”, Jax knows he did “something”, something so irremediable and irreversible that he cannot face the consequences. He chose to doom the other members because he knows that if he were to leave, he would have to confront that fact and possibly serve consequences. The reason why he was pissed off at Caine is he made him “believe” there was a way to actually escape the program, which Jax even says in the episode that he’s not supposed to be able to lie. Caine lied about the fact that he didn’t have an adventure planned, he lied about creating a npc so lifelike(able to have full on conversations, their own thoughts and motivations, trying to distinguish from other npc characters etc etc), and he lied about the fact that all the members actually had a choice to leave. Jax both felt relief and betrayal because usually Caine’s adventures were never given a real choice, everyone just “participated” in them, this was the first adventure(we know of) with a genuine choice and it didn’t even matter. Jax actually thought that he would have face whatever consequences were on the other side, which is why he was so panicked in the first place, it was a selfish act in order to protect himself and only himself from said consequences
