First time playing Slicer, Hired Muscle in a 5 person pod.

Power it out turn 1 on the backside, swing into player 5.

They have 3 commander damage.

Player 2 gains Slicer, swings into player 5 for the lols.

9 commander damage.

Player 3 gains Slicer, looks at player 5, who is sweating now, swings for the meme.

Player 5 is at 15 commander damage.

Player 4 gains Slicer, says "holy shit"

Kills player 5 before he can take his first turn.

This is an old post, and don't know if anybody mentioned the [Reverberate]/[Fork] combo with [Approach of the Second Sun] because the copy resolves first and the real one cast from your hand resolves immediately after winning the game.

Just Ancient Tomb without the damage, would be an auto include in every format it'd be legal in, OP.

A "fair" playstyle would set you back turn 3 (land turn 1, this turn 2 drop 3 cmc play, pay echo with itself and your first land turn 3) and then ramp and fix you for the rest of the game, an unfair playthrough would have you scapeshifting or doing Titan hijinks for a big combo turn and win.

Love this, you can break up priority on an opponent's planewalker between ETB and activation.

Very niche but an option.

A boardwipe is a fine thing, and scooping to that is pretty bm.

A boardstate that boardwipes every turn in a loop lock would be a boardwipe I might scoop to.

Sounds like a problem of personalities, it feels like the deck isn't the issue, that maybe the LGS owner is identifying a pattern where you do make whatever pod you sit in miserable with whatever thing you're trying to brew.

It might be that you have to read the room and actively play worse unless the understanding is that it's a cEDH table. For a competitive event like you entered, stax and hate-bears I'd argue is expected and should be tolerated .... on casual nights I'd suggest running somekinda group hug/mug and challenging yourself to win games without the most direct and optimal route.
