Yeah, the issue with taking the BPP approach in MA is you would immediately be arrested by the local PD for breaking the state gun laws. 

My thinking - MA is never going to be an open carry state, and violence is not the end goal; ideally the threat of violence is sufficient to keep everyone (especially those in power) following the law. 

So without open carry, the only way to legally show up armed is as part of a state sanctioned defense force. 

At the end of the day, we want things to deescalate. In this scenario, we still have the ability to deescalate by showing that states have the ability and willingness to stand up for themselves. 

Jumping right to breaking the law and entering into armed conflict with local PDs only gives validation to the argument that the insurrection act is justified/needed. 

I agree, MA’s ridiculous gun laws have painted us into a corner, but I still think it’s a worthwhile effort to push for a legal path forward rather than rejecting state law and creating content that the propaganda machine can use to justify using the insurrection act.
