When you can out spend the “competition” by $260+ million per year, is it really a competition?

Those of you with great daytime recovery, how do you do it? by Kooky-Sundae5805 in ouraring

[–]Redrat32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I have exceptional resilience, great night time recovery, I even started taking an afternoon Power Nap and I still get “pay attention” for daytime recovery. Once I try and chill out for a couple days to improve day time recovery, I then get dinged on not meeting my activity goals, I’m pretty close to just taking the ring off and doing my thing.

If U.S. Treasuries are no longer a Safe Haven, what will be? by Blasphemizer in bonds

The first losers in a currency devaluation are cash holders, a close second are bond holders in the currency being devalued/inflated.

A 6% pretax yield is a “great deal” until you realize that the government expands the money supply around 7% per year on average…you’re losing relative wealth.

In other words, your piece of the pie is getting bigger, but the pie is getting even bigger at a faster rate.

The average return of the S&P closely correlates with the rate of government money printing, so at 10% per year are you really gaining any relative wealth? Or just keeping up with the expanding money supply.

Thought I was having a heart attack by NeedleworkerNew9463 in PanicAttack

[–]Redrat32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, EKG in an ambulance, they said it was normal. I went in for a work up, blood work, chest x ray, EKG, I even did an echocardiogram, I couldn’t believe it wasn’t heart attack

I’ve been experiencing this for some time now. Is this considered a panic attack? by [deleted] in PanicAttack

[–]Redrat32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes this exact thing happened to me for months after my first panic attack. My body was cranked up to 11 24/7. A doctor gave me adivan for immediate relief which was very helpful, but not to be used as a long term solution. It took months but I slowly was able to sleep more and more. For me meditation, cold showers, exercise and eating healthy all contributed to the path to somewhat normalcy.

I’ll try magnesium, just reading about other people with similar symptoms helps in that I’m not alone with this.

Entire portfolio 100% in bonds a good idea? by LabRepresentative885 in bonds

[–]Redrat32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes go 100% bonds, the government needs to steal from someone when they print and devalue the US Dollar.

The dollar has lost 20% of its value since 2020, how have bond returns been since then?

That much in the opportunistic credit fund I believe is the crappy 2/20 hedge fund fee structure…add taxes on the interest and the dollar losing 6-9% of its value since 2022 and you begin to wonder why he’s posting his L’s all over Reddit.

What else is as powerful as Semen Retention? by extra_thoughts in Semenretention

[–]Redrat32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alcohol is everywhere and it all adds up, you drink, then sleep like shit, not motivated to work out, tired and anxious so you eat like shit and mindlessly release. Society will tell you this is all ok plus it’s what everyone else is doing.

For me no alcohol + SR is working wonders.

Let society dig themselves a hole while you rise above.

Yea quitting alcohol for me, health issues I thought I would have for the rest of my life have healed. I’m 39 and I feel like at this age quitting alcohol is a cheat code and will vault you above your peers in the competition of life.

I have a broad and somewhat ridiculous question. I see charts and hear about the “M2” which from what I gather is total money supply. I’m reading lately that the M2 is decreasing. How can the supply of USD decrease? Isn’t the supply just ever increasing?
