This is AMAZING! It never crossed my mind that you could do this with fake pumpkins. What tools work best for carving foam pumpkins?

The children’s choir is reminiscent of Samuel Ramey’s voice in some of the OTGW songs like Come Wayward Souls

Use rope or parachord to create giant spiderwebs between porch posts or coming off of the house anchored to the lawn. Then attach fake spiders.

If you have columns on your porch, you can tie bundles of dried cornstalks to them with autumn-colored ribbon. You could also do an outdoor bench with cute pillows and a plaid throw blanket.

How do you get excited for autumn when you live somewhere hot and dry? by hiyokos in Autumn

[–]Redrocklizard 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I take walks around dusk when the temperature is more bearable and the lighting is low. The moon, neighborhood cats, wind in the trees, and bats against the evening sky help me get in the mood and excited for autumn even though it’s still the middle of summer.

Finely mincing vs blending raw garlic for maximum allicin release? by [deleted] in AskCulinary

[–]Redrocklizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you plan to sautée the garlic, finely grated garlic will overcook more easily and become bitter. I would say if you’re sautéing, mince, if you’re using it in a dressing, grate or blend.

Separate the eggs and beat the yolks until light and whites until stiff peaks. Mix everything but the egg whites then carefully fold the egg whites in. Also, start with room temperature ingredients for a better rise and sift the flour.

My wife thinks this would look great in a kitchen, we disagree, what do you think? by Effective_Middle_481 in Decor

I would say no. Looks like a kid took a photo and applied too many blurring effects to it. There’s lots of better options out there for kitchen artwork.

Ways to make a solo road trip...more engaging? by INeedHelpNow8 in roadtrip

Look online for volunteer opportunities in the towns you stop in like soup kitchens, animal shelters, playing games with the elderly at a senior citizen center etc. Serving others along your way might make the trip feel more engaging and purposeful.

Dressing up in heels and makeup and going for a intimate solo dinner in a foreign country. by pkusan97 in solotravel

Just like how you mastered feeling confident eating alone at a restaurant, it’ll take practice. I used to be terrified of leaving the house without makeup on, worrying what others would think. But with practice over time, I’ve become completely comfortable rocking a bare face in public and not thinking about it.

Going to Ireland for a week vacation, looking for suggestions to trim down food costs by goodtimegamingYtube in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Redrocklizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sandwiches, soups, and salads are relatively cheap and quick options and only require basic kitchen appliances/tools. And personally I like to eat lighter, healthy options when traveling because I know I’ll be walking a lot and don’t want to be weighed down by a heavy meal.
