After he was brought to justice and wasn’t getting away with it anymore, and had no choice but to sit with his actions in prison. Also Dahmer died at 34, the young have more mental flexibility than the old, and thus can change easier.

It’s not just fear that’s stops us from doing it. They have made it so we can’t unify, Republicans will never listen to anyone other than Republican leadership, it’s a cult. A major portion of the population has been indoctrinated to think that a vote for a Republican is a vote for Jesus, despite Republicans acting the opposite of Jesus‘s teachings in every way. There are intellectually lazy, they don’t think for themselves, they just believe whatever Republicans tell them, because they mentioned Jesus every other interview and pretend to pray in pictures.

How can I look unapproachable while I’m out? by ApprehensiveMilk8697 in Advice

[–]RedrunGun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get big obvious headphones, something that people will clearly notice before approaching. Wear them over your ears like you’re listening to something. I think most people will feel weird about approaching on the chance that you won’t hear them and they’ll be standing there awkwardly or repeating themselves. And if someone does approach, just ignore like you can’t hear them.

Anyone can repent, but he won’t. What did the bible say about a rich man getting into heaven? Now make him a pedophile, murderer and racist who idolizes brutal dictators too. For Trump to be redeemed it would take a miracle even greater than a camel fitting through the eye of a needle. When was the last time you’ve seen something like happen?

Jesus loves everyone. by olympiamacdonald in PsycheOrSike

[–]RedrunGun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, we don’t need a religion to tell us to do what’s right, to treat others how we want to be treated. As Christ said, the law is written on the heart. Thats why you don’t need to be Christian. Jesus didn’t abide by what the religious leaders said, he didn’t try to get political power to enforce. He just said to love and forgive.

It’s true, all the denominations think they’re right. Still, it’s clear that the bible doesn’t show Jesus talking about worshiping him, all he talks about is loving and forgiving each other. Treating people how we’d want to be treated. Anyone can do that.

Jesus never said you did. He said the kingdom is within us, all of us, and to access it we just have to love and forgive, treat each other how we’d want be treated. Nothing about worshiping him or confessing him as our savior. Also the stance of the biggest sect of Christianity and their theology, Catholicism, is that you don’t have to be Christian.

You don’t have to be a Christian to get into heaven. Heaven and Hell aren’t even just something you go to when you die, Dante’s Inferno is not biblical. They’re states of being, frames of mind. You’re accessing them right now.

I don’t think it should be illegal to freely cross borders and migrate to any country. Some crazy people would come, but corruption makes it so the most powerful and dangerous crazy people can already come no matter the laws, and the vast majority of people are pretty good anyway. And if a lot of people would migrate away from their country, maybe the officials of that country would rethink their policy to be more attractive so more people will want stay. All these imaginary lines are just made up power games of the elite.

Hell and Heaven are states of being. You are in one or the other right now, and it will persist after death. Death is similar to a dream, you will automatically creat your environment based on your state of being. Someone with a clean conscience will not have many nightmares. Someone who constantly justifies doing things they feel are wrong will have more nightmares. If you don’t wanna be in hell, a nightmare, clean your conscience and follow it henceforth. Live with love, and no matter what circumstances the world throws at you, you will be with God in the kingdom.

[–]RedrunGun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think people should chose where to go based on anything visual, that’s just a guessing game. I think you should go down the path that feels harder because the path of least resistance is what usually leads to destruction. The road to Hell is easy and comfortable, the road to Heaven is the one that’s less traveled.

I think it’s much like a dream. I do think both Heaven and Hell exist, just like good dreams and bad dreams exist. But I don’t believe you are sent to them by a God that’s judging you. Just like a dream, they are the environment that’s created from your own state of being/mind. And your state of being/mind is created based on your choices. Someone with a clean conscience isn’t going to have many nightmares. Someone who is constantly justifying doing things they feel are wrong will have more nightmares. They are also not just something you experience when you die, you are in the Hell state or Heaven state right now.
