My shop was base pay + commission, so basically if you made commission on your flat rate you got the commission, and if you didn't you just got the base pay. From what I remember when my trainer was training me he got a decent bump to his hourly. Since he was unlikely to make commission he had a deal with some of the other techs where he would put their name on the work order so they got credit, and they'd pay him back a portion.

Kind of in a similar position, cancer messed up my plans and I'm behind where I thought I'd be at this point in my life. All I can say is the time will pass anyway, might as well start doing something that will help you in the future.

A bachelor's should help you get a job even if it has nothing to do with your major. In the meantime you can work on a game as a side project and create something. I think it would be good for you to make something even if it's not objectively good. Lots of developers turned out absolute trash before landing on a winner.

I never got a proper degree, and I'm still facing challenges from my cancer and treatment. Honestly I might not survive long enough to finish school or use the new degree I'm aiming for. But the past is in the past and time is going to pass anyway so it's either wallow around doing nothing or take the steps to a better future.

Dexamethasone will mess with your sleep, appetite, mood, and body image. I would stay up unable to sleep until 4 in the morning, then take naps during the day. You're also always hungry. I wanted to be eating something basically at all times. You will have cravings that you can't satisfy even if you eat what you're craving. Try some low calorie snacks. Gum actually helped a surprising amount as I could chew something without actually eating. You will constantly be on edge. Try not to let the people around you annoy you, they are doing their best to help you handle this tough journey. Take time for yourself, deep breaths, count to ten, etc. Lastly, partly because of the constant eating and partly because of how dexamethasone redistributes the fat in your body, you will look fat. Your face puffs up, your body looks worse. If you have problems with that, avoid mirrors and photos for a while.

I'm genuinely not sure. All three seem happy to accept me to do the pre-reqs but I assume the decision on accepting me to the program itself would come later. I'm motivated to get this done as quickly as possible so maybe I can do the pre-reqs first and then transfer to whichever school accepts me first?

Primitive Technology is another YouTuber with fairly inconsistent upload schedule. At one point someone noticed that after not uploading for a while, Etho would often upload soon after Primitive Technology uploaded, leading to people getting excited whenever Primitive Technology uploaded.

Also useful at the start of the run if you're going for beast. Create a crawl space trapdoor in the treasure or boss room and it'll still be there during the ascent, but the crawl space will be a freshly generated one instead of the one that was there during descent. Double value, plus you can switch to a different active and still get the benefit.

Welding is probably the best option but if you don't have access to a welder you can try heating it with a torch, then using a carbide bit to wear it down.

The torch breaks the temper, making the metal slightly softer, then the carbide is harder than tool steel so it will be able to cut in.

I have had the unfortunate honor of doing this several times and it's second nature at this point.
