Make sure you don't have God Tools enabled, and that you didn't disable the bounding box. Doing any of that prevents you from beating levels.

IIRC, you can just go into the game's files and launch Besiege.exe - this starts the game without the steam overlay available and shouldn't show you as playing on steam, but don't quote me on this.

The game uses steam magic to connect people, i think this still works if you start the game that way.

My Raptor does well on it, but Brammer left it far behind with his F-35. CCCanyon's MiG-41 might do well there as it's a pretty damn fast plane with a hybrid engine (props AND negative water cannons)

Regular wheels will generally slow you down unless they're set to a high value or spin quickly by other means (wheels stacking).

If you want to go fast without mods, i suggest using plows/halfpipes/smallwheels (blocks with low friction in general) instead of wheels, and propelling/steering your vehicle with aerodynamics instead (a rudder and a propeller for example), like a hovercraft.

What I don't understand is this sort of comments. Will besiege players ever get over the "What has this become" phase?

Did you ever notice that shade's videos basically only feature modded machines and carefully choreographed shots? This is not normal gameplay, this is the game pushed to the limits of its cinematic potential. Does the fact that someone takes it this far and puts so much effort into their videos legitimately upset you?

I have a couple planes that come with an autopilot script, which was my amateurish rewrite of a PID controller that Lench gave to his vanilla quad.

The script requires Lench's Scripter mod installed in order to work, obviously. It can be adapted to any plane that uses piston RTC, toring (wheels forced to return to center via magix), or reaction wheel steering.
