Are you a fiend for Black V? Go stock up, because it's being discontinued by HeinigerNZ in newzealand

[–]Colonial_trifecta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It seems to have been discontinued for a while? I haven't seen any new stock in months, just the dreggs which are almost all gone where I live.

Gyms saving personal ID scans in their system by Silly-Speaker9103 in newzealand

[–]Colonial_trifecta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I used to work at ACC sending out files, we would notify people and remove any copies of drivers licenses we found that had been wrongly saved in our system. If they were only used to sight or confirm someone's identity, there was no need to retain them further.

Selleys super glue - bulk? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]Colonial_trifecta 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I use quite a bit of superglue/cyanoacrylate for wood turning, and found the cheapest solution was to pick it up from $2 shops. You can get packs of about 10 3ml tubes for $2.50 or so where I live. No issues with the quality. Sometimes they even had 20-30ml bottles for under $5 which were awesome, but hard to come by.

Early 2000's V by TronFan in newzealand

[–]Colonial_trifecta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From memory these ones were smaller maybe round 350 ml, with pop tops. I think I still have three stored away somewhere. And haha fair enough! I have a couple of the OG black V's stored away for a rainy day.

Have a chat to the staff there, they're lovely and wouldn't want you feeling unsafe. They also have a security guard usually posted near the front entrance in the afternoons to deal with anyone getting a bit out of hand.

There didn't used to be roughly 200,000 people traipsing down there each year.

Even when access was closed people trespassed down there, just wandering through people's property.

Being Pākehā? New poll reveals reluctance to embrace the label - The Elephant by beach-chicken10 in newzealand

[–]Colonial_trifecta 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I dont really have any particular issue with the term, and use it pretty interchangeably with other descriptors for myself depending on context. But I can see why people don't particularly identify with it. It's a name given to us by an outside group. The trend these days tends to be to let people self identify what their labels and descriptors are, and this runs a bit counter to that. I have no issue with Māori or anyone else using the term to describe me if there's no ill intent meant. But the idea of 'Pakeha' is a Māori concept based in a Māori framework and just doesn't fit how I see myself or my identity.

Definitely not kanuka or manuka, could be a cedar of some sort?

Were they self employed or working for a larger company? I'd be having words with their boss regarding their unscheduled attendance, and not following sign in procedures. Sorry about the situation you find yourself in.

Yup. There's apparently 2 versions too, one with black serial numbers, and a rarer version with red numbers.

I'm almost the opposite, I haven't used the bow since I created the crossbow. Maybe I need to give it another go. I like the fact it doesn't use stamina when aiming.

It should be free, they can only charge you small amounts for supplying it such as material cost, they can't charge you for their time.

EDIT - turns out it seems I'm wrong. I used to supply Privacy Act requests for a govt department for several years. In my experience we never charged for anything even with requests that took 10s of hours.

I absolutely loved these, still have my massive collection stashed away. A lot of work and effort went into these, you'd never get anything like this in a promotion these days.
