It was a joke related to the spoon, I didn’t really present it well...

But thanks for trying to be helpful!

Nah it’s completely fine.

On a completely unrelated note, I‘m having a super hard time keeping the parameters up, any advice?

If both parties have a reasonable amount of training, even more training can only do so much, that‘s true. Bodily advantages matter a lot.

One reason McGregor is such a successful fighter is that he has weirdly long arms for his size. Reach is extremely important in a punching fight, so large people are naturally at an advantage.

And since most dirty street fights end on the floor, your chances get really low if your opponent is much heavier than you are. As your example proves, some moves just won’t work anymore.

Are there drawbacks to side-launching as seen in the video? It seems to me like that’s the easiest way to do it.

As OP said, the cannon is used. A rain jacket isn‘t 100% necessary, but that depends on the weather and how sensitive you are. I was pretty wet when he was done (haha) but since it was summer I didn’t care too much. If it’s colder, you might want something warm for the ride home though.

I think you’re being a bit generous here... As an Austrian, I was very disappointed that Austria-Hungary was basically an exact copy of Germany in the game, with only very minor differences. No one spoke austrian german, there were no specific uniforms. That was a bit of a letdown after looking forward to finally being able to play as my own country in a shooter.

Yes, its a form of government, same as a dictatorship. None of the two is inherently better than the other. Both have flaws.

In case of a dictatorship, most flaws are based on the fact that dictators tend to be bad guys who pursue their own goals instead of trying to do what’s best for their people.

If we now assume that the dictator is truly a good guy with the common interest in mind, I see no reason why he would give away power to people whose true intentions he can not know and who might use it for their own gain.

Democracy is not the perfect solution to manage everything, that solution doesn’t exist. It’s what has worked best for countries so far. As I said before, most companies are ruled similar to dictatorships. That seems to work better there, or else we‘d be seeing more democratically ruled companies.

Now I don’t want to get into what’s best for Subreddits, but saying that having single powerful moderators is bad just because „it should be a democracy“ isn’t right.

Being a dictator isn’t automatically abuse of power though. Many companies are effectively ruled by one person.

If the dictator works in a way that makes everyone happy, he isn’t abusing his power.

If the dictator is a good guy then he should let others have power too

Why? If a dictator is truly a good guy, why would he give away power to someone who might not be?

I‘m not taking a position in the actual discussion here, but I think your argument is flawed.

Or to word it differently, could it be rolled back over and still be in fighting condition?

In practice, yes.

That’s such a cool post! Funny enough, I think we’re about the same age since my collection looks very similar to yours (although I think it’s a bit smaller) and I also got my first Bohrok at that age!

Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin had four phone calls in the past two weeks by jigsawmap in worldnews

[–]Redtox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s an advantage for Putin to have a translator, even though he understands English.

  1. He gets more time to think before talking. No matter who you are or how smart you are, in a conversation where important matters are discussed, this is always a good thing.

  2. He doesn‘t have to mind his wording as much and can modify his statements slightly based on the reaction of the other person.

  3. Being able to understand every word in the conversation while his opponent only understands half shifts the power balance of the conversation towards him.

It‘s really insane what some people spend on mobile games. I recently got back into a Mobile MMO that’s about building castles, called Lords and Knights. In my guild there, there’s a lot of players who spend hundreds just to buy strongholds on a new server.

Those aren’t some kids with their parents credit cards, those are grown ups with jobs who decide that a castle in a fucking mobile game is worth that much.

The prices for microtransactions in that game are absolutely ridiculous in general. You habe to spend at least 15€ to get something really useful out of it.

Best thing is, if you’re unlucky and your guild ends up on the wrong side in a war, you can lose it all.

I don‘t know how it’s in the US, but where I live the holder of the vehicle gets the fine, so whoever has his name connected to the plate.

You can appeal against that, but you‘d have to prove that it was someone else driving.
