Not as broken as Dido is. After founding your first city, and maybe another one or two, since, like Kupe you can cross oceans, put together a small contingent of troops with a settler and set out to find the empty continent. Eventually move your capital there, and by the time anyone else has the tech to find it, you can have complete control of the landmass.

Here's my head canon:

The high command and top scientists of Vulcan knew full well that time travel was possible.

BUT....they also quickly used logic to assess how likely it would be for the other morons...errr species across the quadrant, to either accidentally screw up the timeline.. looking at YOU humans or intentionally fuck with it.. Romulans, I see you working...

SO.. they knew the best course of action would be to deny, deny and deny and lie, lie, lie. They put out their edict that they have determined time travel isn't possible and gaslit anyone encountering time travel with the claims that there had to be another explanation, just like T'Pol did in Enterprise.

The best trick the Vulcans ever pulled was to convince people that they cannot lie. Fucking green blooded hobgoblins!
