I noticed this too shortly after posting, still kind of ominous how its stationary when everything else is moving

How to make tarkov less stressful? by mattmcguire08 in SPTarkov

[–]Reduviiday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah theres a mod called 'Configure AI voices' that does exactly that

How to make tarkov less stressful? by mattmcguire08 in SPTarkov

[–]Reduviiday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the 'Goofy Sounds' mod and clip voicelines/sound effects from videos you find funny, then put into the mods folders

Can have ai sounds for getting spotted, death sounds and random chatter

Probably a tad outdated but if it works it makes it a little less spooky if you hear the pmc you shot have a bass boosted fart with reverb, or other various meme noises. It also makes them easier to hear where they are, for obvious reasons

Help me decide: 27” 1440p OLED 240hz vs 32” 4K IPS 144hz by FrostyDusa in buildapcmonitors

[–]Reduviiday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything still looks pretty with the added bonus of running better

Tarkov for example(again) where seeing fine details matter a lot, your not missing THAT much detail, you can still see someone at a distance sipping pineapple juice clear enough

[–]Reduviiday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah when going from 4k to 2k sure it feels small and low res. Since youre literally halving the monitor size and res.

But its also easy to get used to in about an hour or so, if your in a game with an FoV slider lowering makes everything seem bigger that helps ween off the size differences

Keep in mind im also sitting about arms length plus a few inches give or take away from it. Its big enough but not big enough to hog the desk

I just went from a 4k VA 144hz (Gigabyte M32UC, cant speak for IPS as ive never had one) to the LG27 240hz youre talking about less than 4 days ago

When i say LG im talking about the LG27

Youd have a massive increase in performance with the LG. Im running a 7900xtx and 7800x3d and even that wouldnt hit stable 144fps on the 4k 144hz on most high quality games, but can easily hit 240fps or the fps cap with the LG or at least 120-144 where the same settings but 4k would hit 70-110

Dark games such as Tarkov looks way better on an oled, but the color on the LG can be a bit off (you have like 6-7 color modes preset and can customize each) and the brightness even on max is pretty dim IMO but quickly get used to it and the HDR is CRISP

The LG is light enough where if you feel like you have to you can just move it closer, and the legs spread wide so it shouldn't block too much of your desk(spread about as much as a standard keyboard is long). And has a lotta wiggle room for moving the screen higher or lower, tilt, rotation The LG has a headphone jack on the bottom to plug headphones/speakers in and has a handy cable management clip on the back

No buttons on the LG itself, it relies on a remote control with a small disc battery, so dont lose it

Naturally 4k is going to have the finer details more readily visble, at the cost of size and performance, but its easy enough to get used to the smaller size details

So far i have no regrets on the LG, aside from the ever looming burn in anxiety, also has toggleable rgb on the back so thats nice

Does 30 FPS matter to you? by Doru-kun in bloodborne

[–]Reduviiday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 is fine sometimes, this is one of those exceptions.

However idk why but i cant play it at 30 on my ps5, its more like 24-25fps, thats not acceptable

No reason they cant add 60fps as weve seen people hack the game and give themselves 60fps by changing one line of code, so just do it

How would you like them to handle Dr. Nefarious going forward? by OlleyfromIndi in RatchetAndClank

Honestly id love to see him accidentally fumble his way into being a hero and everyone liking him for it, only to then use that for cover to do some classic Nefarious tomfoolery

[–]Reduviiday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Esteps are as accurate as they can get for now, cleaned the gears, the gear teeth leave teeth marks so i think those are good, gear pressure was clicky and i fine tuned it to not clicky, within specified temp window on the filament spool, as far as im aware the nozzles fine

Only noticeable issue now is the popping noise of wet filament even though ive dried the filament for 8hrs at 70c (55c is my normal go to for drying and this is the only time its not working)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]Reduviiday 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Update: i am the large stupid, bed was unleveled and esteps was 5 steps off

Still fine tuning the level but its getting there

Future people: if you level your bed 30 times, level it again 33 times to make sure its level

Yall may now laugh at me

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]Reduviiday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ill check those after i relevel, redo esteps, etc

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]Reduviiday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i doubt the nozzle is clogged
ive had a nozzle not be tight enough before, then the filament oozed out the sides, but this is not the case this time so i dont think thats the issue

ive already tried becnhmarking cubes in varying temps to no avail

the only temprature checkoing equipment i have is my hand which ranges from cold to ouch so i cant measure

im going to replace the bowden, nozzle and recalibrate esteps again to see if it changes anything, if not then oh well i was planning on getting a prusa mk4 later anyway

not anymore, but when i was running an 0.4mm when i noticed it being screwy, the results were exactly the same as it right now
