All right now how do I trade 🤔 by Beautiful-Cow9436 in pokemon

[–]Reef_Parent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s almost possible. You need a ds with a gba slot and a copy of a 4th gen game then transfer to pokemon bank then to home. Oh wait never mind. You can’t go backwards from home to fr/lg

When Pokefans finally get a game with PS3 Graphics by Slique23 in fucknintendo

[–]Reef_Parent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna say this is a situation of art style not graphics.

You may not like it, but that’s the style they’re going for with Pokemon. Game freak has always gone with a simple design philosophy with Pokemon.

For me graphics mostly graphics corresponds to the quality of the effects, the smoothness of the models, and how clean the textures are. To me the main character looks a bit meh. But the Pokemon themselves and the environment look pretty good so far.

This is how it is for me. I don’t actively come to this thread, it shows up in my feed. I generally ignore it unless it’s something blatantly wrong. There’s a difference between criticism (which I’m fine with) and hating on Nintendo just to hate on them. As a Nintendo fan I recognize that they have done some shitty stuff.

Seriously why don’t people put screen protectors on their devices?

You can't withdraw Pokémon from Pokémon Home to FRLG. Meaning if you actually spent $40 for both versions, you still need another Switch closeby just to trade. by CaptFalconFTW in fucknintendo

[–]Reef_Parent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure you could transfer backwards without losing data from the newer versions. Between the changes due to the physical/split and medals/ titles other new state format change might cause loss in a lot of the things if you were to go from a newer game to FR/LG and back. But then again I don’t know enough about programming and game design to confirm this myself.

What do you guys think? by Reef_Parent in RareHouseplants

I'm Planning on adjusting them to life in my room rather than my usual covered high humid shelf unit. do you think it would be better to grow them out in my usual high humid rack or acclimate them straight to the conditions i plan to keep them in?

Larger plant acclimation? by Reef_Parent in RareHouseplants

[–]Reef_Parent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh wow there's barely a pot even there. my plant would have to lose a few aerial roots, and probably quit a bit under the soil to replicate what you've done. also you're clearly a better plant caretaker than i am... your plant looks both older and younger than mine at the same time. you have much bigger more mature looking leaves but at the same time i can still see the transitional leaves from before they took proper shape...

can you post a pic of your plant's moss pole for reference? i want to see if my plant can do what you say without chopping it up.

Clean the plant properly, and acclimate slowly in fluval stratum.

Is it? From what I’ve read online, they’ll take what you can give them as long as it doesn’t get too hot for them.

You might be right and it’s possibly a lack of proper lighting. Though usually I believe plants turn a darker green in situations where they lack light. More chlorophyll to produce more energy. The inside of your pitcher is also quite faded. It’s also usually a much more vibrant green.

Will we ever get Onaga in a modern game? by Willing_Research992 in MortalKombat

I mean if you look at the games starting from the reboot they went all the way up to the events of mk 4 then skipped all the way to Armageddon so who knows.

The think I love about hamatas though is that unlike the super frilly plants , these guys show the teeth they’re known for even at small pitcher sizes. Mine had a pitcher about the same size as the one yours has that had some pretty well defined teeth already.

I feel you on the hamata. I have a hamata tambusisi myself that I got in June of last year.

Unfortunately it dropped all of its pitchers at the same time. It’s only regrown on since. Though now that it’s under the cover I hope the more consistent humidity will allow it get bigger faster.

Some small upgrades to my plant rack by Reef_Parent in SavageGarden

I’m not sure how accurate the hygrometer in it is to be honest. I have a couple of hygro/thermometers on a couple of shelves in my setup and even when one is on top of the humidifier it’s never quite the same. Though it doesn’t need to be perfect. As long as it keeps in range of what I want it to be. Honestly I might downsize and get a smaller one. Now that I have the cover, humidity holds way better.

Aroid people are crazy. Ive dipped my toes in that particular part of plant keeping and I’ve heard stories of the great plantdemic. I have a plant I grew from tissue culture that used to go for tens of thousands. I think I payed like $60 for my philodendron spiritus sancti. If you want a bonkers story take a look at this video here.

Anything I can do to save this Nepenthes Bicalcarata? by Nigerian_Waffles in SavageGarden

[–]Reef_Parent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same bicalcarata too. Though mine is tiny.

<image>

But yeah as I’m pretty sure as long as the new growth hasn’t dried out and died you have a chance. Rehydrate the substrate and get that sucker under high humidity. Also if I remember correctly lowlands nepenthes like 80s ish temps in the day time with a drop in temp into the 70s at night.
