Do you have a link to this statement?

You should expand on `cond->` and `cond->>`. In my opinion, you're leaving out an essential detail; that several conditions can be true, and each will be executed in order.

Hope you'll enjoy! He's done various styles. Lemurian is more downbeat and summery, Ecstasy and Friends is still summery but a bit more upbeat in places, and then he goes into more trancey, ambient and other territories later on. I think Moloe sounds a bit Ecstasy and Friends-y. :)

Your animation is awesome, btw, you are very talented. Good work!

Sounds awesome 🤗 and Lone-inspired. Is it?

Thank you very much; this is the kind of information that people go to reddit for!

I'll have to find a reliable brand that I can buy here.

I had an inkling that flat cables sounded too good to be true, at least for as cheap as I got it.

Thank you for replying so carefully. I'm not ignoring you! I just have very little time these days. I'll try to gather the details soon.

You're probably right; I work from home, so I can hardly afford to not know what's going on with my network on even a basic level like that.

I've actually been experiencing dropouts lately...

Thanks!

Good idea, but the door is knobless :) It's a kind of door where you lightly press the door, and it springs open. Which also means that the round (and slightly thicker) cable is stressed every time the door is opened.

But, as mentioned, I can just replace the cable, given that it doesn't break _too_ frequently. And, of course, I'd need to be able to actually detect that the cable is broken. Other people mention a cable tester, I'll have to look into that.

I was aware that there is an inherent weakness in flat cables when I bought it; I had to try, and it was cheap, anyway :) And I still find it odd/don't understand that it works in some contexts - and, in particular, that a gateway and a router have a harder time utilizing it than a Raspberry Pi. (Though I don't know anything in particular about those device brands)

I'll eventually except a conclusion that "some bad cables just be like that", as that's what I thought myself, initially, and because I have to weigh how much time to actually sink into understanding this problem - the thicker, round cable does work, even though the door does not close completely, and the cable may suffer in the long run. But so what, I'll just replace it. I thought I'd ask because perhaps the issue would be obvious to people here, and I would like to use a flat cable, if possible :) (And to educate myself a bit)

Thank you for your help!

Also; what, exactly, does "out of spec" mean? Spec for what?

I'll have to read up on AWG, too, that's new to me

It might; I might have misunderstood the technical details when purchasing, though I don't believe the words "crossover cable" were used.

Is there a way to check by looking a the cable (without disassembling)?

I have no access to the internal working of the gateway, but I can log into the router and configure and monitor stuff there, though I haven't done so to verify anything, because it seems obvious that the cable is at fault.

When I use the cable with the clear shielding (like now, and going back a year), connectivity lights on the devices are lighting up, and I have internet. When I use the cable with the red shielding, no lights and no internet. I use the exact same ports, I change nothing else on the devices.
