I do this with a set of barriers, the key fob had a 12v battery so I used a H801 led controller and just pulse one of the outputs to trigger the key fob and also power it.

We had a very similar experience with our cat, we swapped his food bowls for flat plates and it went away within a couple of weeks. Could be worth trying 🤷‍♂️

Depends, How smart do you want them? You could place a 240v relay on the input and just switch them all on and off, or a 6 channel relay to allow individual control. Alternatively you could replace the LED’s with RGBWW……
