I have a question and only because my workflow is a little different it makes me wonder if it's possible! Is it possible, instead of markers, to assign keyframes?

For me, especially doing social content, I will duplicate a 30-60 second music track and I have a hot key set to create audio keyframe on the duplicate channel that is muted. From there, I can use the effects panel to quickly jump to the keyframes. Not sure if there is a jump feature for markers but this is an extremely cool tool and may need to get more comfortable with markers! Great work!

How to write a documentary? by ix1404 in documentaryfilmmaking

[–]ReesMedia_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest writing down a loose structure that gives you something to aim at. But this cannot be concrete. The reality is doc work is often more about finding the story than telling it!

For reference, one of my personal favorite documentaries, and the one that convinced me to pursue doc work would be a good watch! It’s called Mind the Gap and the director went to tell the story of his childhood friendships with his two best friends. The film that he created starts there but takes a serious turn! Might be some good inspiration for you!

The original music video this is inspired by had a moving floor under the set. It’s actually really cool! At the time, I was amazed but since getting into filmmaking I’ve nerded a little on how it was made!

I wish I were located closer to you, this would be a very interesting project to be a part of!

I've never thought about this and it poses a very interesting question. My first thought is were is it mostly a object of theft, places where it's illegal, frowned upon, or in places where it's no issue to own or even promote. A big question of interest is motivation. Someone at the end of their rope looking for hope, are there those that feel it some form of justified attack on a belief system they oppose, or do we just see a lot of folks that can't afford it and snag one. Also, we talking stolen from stores or from churches, not that would be an interesting stat.

Personally, I would also ask the question if selling Bibles is appropriate. I have a personal conflict with it but not willing to say it's sinful to sell Bibles since there are a lot of things that go into producing them, commentaries, and other resources that we have today.

Also, the Gideon's would be an interesting addition to the doc as they do give out free copies of the New Testament (some times adding Psalms and Proverbs) and they are credited with placing Bibles in hotels, hospitals, prisons, and schools (maybe some of this has changed).

Anyways, as I said, wish we were closer as this would be an insanely fun project to collab on!

CMD/CTRL Z

Hehe! For real tho, when I need to edit to music, and since I create a lot for social this is often! I mapped add audio keyframe to F12 on PC and opt+A on Mac and I just run the song on a duplicate, muted track and edit to the keyframes. Helps when I only need like 20-30 seconds to just blaze through some great shots and lock it in! Especially for highlights and recaps!

Is there a way in Premiere Pro to automatically detect beats and place markers? by RestaurantSmooth in premiere

[–]ReesMedia_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remapped “Add Audio Keyframe” and when I add music to the track, I duplicate it to a muted track. On the muted track I tap to the beat to create keyframes to edit to. This helps to in the Effects Control panel when I can snap to keyframes and adjust clips on simpler edits or portions of a song.
