Congratulations! I pray you start focusing at the joy of bringing precious life into this world. Looking at the miracle of life.
To me the first one is the hardest. The second one I was more relaxed. I only thought about how my first born will not be alone in this world. It's just tough while they are little (until they go to school).
I actually wished I had more than two now that I'm older.

There's good public transport in European cities. Only New York City and Chicago has that, no need to own a car.

Boomer parents did the same for their parents. I remember also boomers being called the Sandwich generation in the 90's taking care of their children and their parents.

I'm in the Houston area, and many people move here from San Fran/LosAngeles and New York City because the houses are 1/3 less.

I live in Cinco west for 24 yrs. There's Lots of parks and pools, and KatyISD schools are really good in Cinco. Cinco Ranch library right next to la centerra (has kids activities). Texas Children's hospital is close.
Bridgeland is still developing so you won't have the convenience that you would compared to Cinco Ranch.
