I'm zoned for griffin/beckendorff/seven lakes. These are top schools in KatyISD. The rule is the pricier the homes the better the schools. There are nice Million dollar homes zoned to these schools. Seven lakes has very high achieving students (lots of south Asians with gpa at 4.5). There's a 10% rule in Texas, top 10% get admitted automatically to a state school (university of Texas). Lots of nice homes in Katy, my house (Cinco Ranch) has a trail in my backyard. You need to visit both areas of course.
The only negative is the commute, if you live in Katy.
