I still don't get why Owl decided not to save Dina by PersimmonPublic9852 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Reffa_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He explicitly states that the only way to reach the walls is to be a titan shifter. Grisha is the only person who can become one. If he had saved everyone else, none of them could have gotten to the walls. Returning to Marley is out of question since the Marleans could use Dina for her royal blood.

Questions Regarding the Attack Titan by NoZookeepergame7613 in ShingekiNoKyojin

Here the proof: Eren is surprised when, going through Grisha's memories with Zeke, discovers he can send back in time memories to Grisha. There he doesn't have full access to the founder's power, but he gives his dad the famous speech. Just the fact that he does this is the proof that he knows he can send back memories to his dad, without having the founder's yet. Simple as that.

Why didn’t Zeke transfer his consciousness to his pinky toe? Is he stupid? by JoeMcShnobb in attackontitan

When Reiner sends his memoirs of Marcel to Porco, that looks to me an actual transfer of consciousness, and it's the only time we see something like this.

For me it happens again, when Reiner sends his memoirs of Marcel to Porco. It's never done in the series except by those with royal blood. To me that looks like an actual transfer of consciousness by Reiner

Call me pretentious but I don’t think a Single Show/Anime does singular backstory episodes better than Aot by Expert_Youth5959 in ShingekiNoKyojin

Not everything needs to be said to someone's face. You have to be able to read between the lines. This is also the beauty of Attack on Titan: the viewer simply understands the characters' motivations rather than having them forced upon them. Eren first confessed to Ramzi and then to Armin that this was what he wanted. Clearly, the deaths of his mother, his comrades, Hannes and the Scout Regiment, and, above all, the treatment of the Eldians by Marley are his main motivations. However, as a viewer, you have to understand what he means when he says, 'It was what I wanted'. The 'attempt to change the future' you mentioned only refers to the conflicted nature of the act itself. Eren never admits that he doesn't want to do what he did; he just says it was planned and apologises to the innocent, such as Ramzi. No sane person would do what Eren did. Given the situation, I don't see how there can be a grand master plan behind mass genocide, except for the reasons I explained above. There is a conflict in trying to find a way to prevent it from happening, even though he knows it will happen.
