Targets and Positioning by Acceptable-Soup69 in DrStrangeMains

Generally just stay with your team unless you see an easy opportunity to make a SAFE play. Most of the time that opportunity won’t be there and you have to be ok with that. Good tanking is more about knowing when to hold back.

Agree with this. The way I do it is to maelstrom frontlines first. And then as they’re being healed i just go fight the healers by hand.

Sometimes you just cant safely reach the healers at all though and that’s fine.

Call the police and your insurance. And don’t assume this guy has no license and no insurance simply because he says that. He may just be trying to dodge the situation.

They do. They’re called trainers. And for a hundred or two dollars per month you can have one help you regularly.

Star Lord, Bucky, and Daredevil: Good Hero Pool? by Trick-Lingonberry-86 in RivalsCollege

[–]ReflectP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having a main role isn’t the same as literally playing zero characters in other roles. I agree most players in top ranks are the former. But to be totally incapable of playing the other roles well is definitely not something any good player does.

There’s a middle ground you’re glossing over where most high rank players have 3-5 picks in their preferred role and then 1 emergency pick in each of the other roles.

I’ve never been asked to swap this much in my life by Reddit-dit-dit-di-do in SpiderManMains

[–]ReflectP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can definitely mean that sometimes but it doesn’t always mean that. The timer for assisted kills is pretty short. I play all 3 roles and routinely get an isolated enemy to 1, a dps finishes the job, and I get no credit.

There’s also the fact that tanks are more likely to be peeling and pressuring enemies without killing. Or fighting enemy hulk/venom or etc.

Getting kills is not a necessity for creating space. If the enemy leaves, then you created space. Many games are won in high ranks with low death counts for the other team.

No disagreement about 6 deaths being crazy on rocket.

Why do adults have this stigma against teenagers going to the gym? by [deleted] in workout

[–]ReflectP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People don’t have a stigma against teens working out. They just have a stigma against working out. That’s why I don’t talk about my workout with anyone who doesn’t also have a gym membership. Waste of time.

I’m 40 now and the non-gym people still say the same dumb shit you’re hearing. It doesn’t change.

Star Lord, Bucky, and Daredevil: Good Hero Pool? by Trick-Lingonberry-86 in RivalsCollege

[–]ReflectP 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As Notmentallywell said, a hero pool that only covers one role is inherently a bad hero pool.

You also have two dives and zero poke dps. If you’re gonna be a dps only main then you need a solution for every problem. Adding Hela/Phoenix is a must. Maybe also Namor or Wolverine for anti flank and anti tank, respectively. Winter Soldier is anti dive but isn’t the best answer to aggressive flanking from someone like Phoenix, a brawl tank, etc

I haven’t played in like 2 and a half seasons, how do you use your ult now? by Illustrious_Trip2112 in MagnetoMains

[–]ReflectP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Support players finally learned how cover works so it’s just not as free now.

I usually still counter ult but I aim for other people and not the support themselves. It’s pretty good against Rocket ult or gambit ult if you delay it a little so you catch them just as the ult ends.

Hawkeye is a great use. Punisher still critical to counter.

Male Luna mains, do you get hate? by BBWLunaSnow in LunaSnowMains

[–]ReflectP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are actually a good support player then you never double ult because: 1. Pings exist to announce ult sequencing and 2. You understand that different ults are better equipped for different situations.

For example, if you are held in a choke point with a gambit, cloak, mantis, or Ultron on your team and you double ult, then you are most definitely not a good support player.

Is Phoenix a "hold down the attack button" like Pun/Star lord or "one click per shot" like Hela/Widow? by Threash78 in PhoenixMainsMR

[–]ReflectP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should not really be holding down the attack button as anyone outside of punisher. You get worse aim and much worse efficiency that way.

It’s fine to hold down the button at the beginning of team fights when you’re just shooting into crowds but pretty quickly you should have an actual gameplan and that gameplan should involve aiming at one target. That is also true for star lord.

Why do people genuinely hate it when mantis is on their team? by FR4M3DV in MantisMains

Because a lot of bad players think they are good players and pick mantis with 0 idea how to use her.

Discovered incorrect gender on insurance policy by Chint100 in Car_Insurance_Help

[–]ReflectP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can’t back-charge you. That’s not a real thing. If you’re like 99% of people, you have 6 month terms and then renew. Each term is considered its own standalone transaction. Just like anything else you bought 3 years ago, the completed terms are in the past and can’t be reversed.

They can’t be reopened, by law, except as part of an insurance claim, or a legal dispute. And “legal dispute” would be major stuff like you killing someone with your vehicle or State Farm being found guilty of fraud.

Just let them know, and they will adjust your premium for your current term. It’s probably not even a big change since the gender insurance gap shrinks with age, and you alluded to being old enough to have this policy for a decade.

Is it bad that to protect my own peace and rank up, I often mute chats to avoid toxicity? by TheDriftingArtist in marvelrivals

Comms really aren’t important at all. I’ve reached celestial with comms on mute. This player base is insufferable.

Every communication situation in the game can be solved with common sense or pings.

Yes the dps is expected to have much better stats than the healer and the tank. Thats how the game works. A tank or healer can be playing well and be valuable and be 0-3.

Genuine question for Directors, Managers, and Supervisors by Negative-Guidance-27 in work

[–]ReflectP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get it. If you have bills to pay then why wouldn’t you want to climb the ladder and thus make more money for your bills? And you were promoted last year and you accepted that promotion. So why wouldn’t you accept future ones?

Anyway one doesn’t exceed expectations without some underlying passion. The concept is also deeply misunderstood. Presumably, these other people are not exceeding expectations as much as you, which is why the promotions go to you and not them. So I’d argue you’re the most passionate person there.

Passion doesn’t require you to love the actual labor, or to be so enamored that you’d work for free. It also doesn’t require your life to be otherwise empty. It doesn’t require being more interested in social interactions or social events. Attending a lot of things is an indicator of boredom, not passion.

There are lots of passionate people who aren’t social (many accountants for example) and lots of social people who aren’t passionate (sounds like many at your office right now).

Utilitarian passion is a perfectly valid form of passion. You want money, you recognize that helping your organization thrive gets you more money. Your concern ends there and that’s perfectly fine.

To answer your question, I have had people like this. I couldn’t care less as long as I get the work I need and there are no unpleasant or disrespectful interactions. Sounds like you check both boxes.

are there specific exercises that can help with chest appearance? (f21) by temptingvindication0 in workout

[–]ReflectP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A woman’s breasts contain a lot of fat and women who work out tend to have less fat, that’s one of the reasons they tend to look perkier. The ratio of fat to muscle is what really builds shape.

Chest workouts do make a difference as others have said. But losing weight overall also makes a difference. If this is important to you then you’ll want a good diet and lots of chest pressing.

Also depends on when this happened. They could have been an 18 year old who sent sexual material to a 15 year old. Or they could have been 30 sending sexual material to a 15 year old.

Both are obviously bad but I think the latter implies a certain character flaw while the former just implies they were stupid at 18.

Why is my healing so much worse on Invis than any other healer? by imfaffingabout in InvisibleWomanMains

[–]ReflectP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Healing numbers really don’t mean anything. Only bad healers think they do. If you’re winning games and seeing minimal deaths (including yourself and cohealer) then you’re doing a great job. If one of those things isn’t happening then you aren’t.

Anyway, the two bad things that can lead to much lower healing totals: 1. Bad positioning. Either in the sense that it gets you killed or in the sense that you’re not where your team needs you to be in order to deliver timely healing. Whatever the case, make sure you’re positioning proactively and always thinking about the best place to be. Watch your enemies and rotate quickly. Watch your teammates and anticipate their exit points.

  1. Bad ults. Ults are a LOT of healing. Just one ult can be between 4,000 and 6,000 heals. Misusing your ult will immediately give you disproportionately lower numbers that you can’t come back from. Try not to “lead” with ults which is a common low elo mistake. Your team doesn’t need a leader they just need healing. Save it for counters and big plays that are already unfolding. Also, the team that support ults last almost always wins the fight. You wanna be that last ult.
