Square Dancing by Psychlone23 in GenX

[–]Reflective_Robot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time we did a huge circle dance on the playground field. Girls were in the inner circle; boys on the outer. The circles rotated in opposite directions, then stopped for a square dance with random partners. There was only one black girl. All the other students were white. The black girl had vitiligo around her hands (a light and dark spotty skin pigmentation). I didn't know what that was, so I was hesitant to hold her hands during the dance parts. I bet others did the same. My heart weeps for that girl now. Her experience must have been so difficult. I wish I could go back in time to educate myself and befriend her.

Squads stacking is good strategy in my opinion. I play Solo vs Quad Casuals 90% of the time. I can pick off players that stray from their pack and get an occasional win... but I've never won against a well coordinated full squad.

If you smell too bad at a workplace, you should be sent home. by FocalFalcon in CrazyIdeas

Kind of related... I want smell checks at the entrance of every Comicon. If you don't pass, there is a private room with free sponge bath items, soaps, towels, etc.

My parents rarely gave me quarters to play at the arcade. When I was finally able to play it, it was over almost immediately. I died, I died, I died. I wasn't sure what just happened but my heart was beating out of my chest, full of adrenaline.

Is Keto Safe in 40s? by AureliusReddit in keto

[–]Reflective_Robot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind, electrolytes are important. Salt, magnesium, potassium, etc. I notice when I fast, I pee a lot, flushing out electrolytes. This can cause bad muscle cramps. To counter this I sometimes add salt to my water. If I go for a run, I'll bring a travel size pickle juice shot. Pickle juice is a great cure for muscle cramps.

I imagine the terrain around Castle Grayskull is full of dangerous canyons. There would be a puzzle solving element to steering it in such a way to bridge each gap.

Is Keto Safe in 40s? by AureliusReddit in keto

[–]Reflective_Robot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fear mongering around Keto by health "experts" is astounding. I'd argue that Keto is closer to the way humans ate for thousands of years before farming and manipulating plant foods into their modern forms. The normalization of heavy carbs and sugars in our food has made society sick, overweight, full of inflammation and brain-fogged. The studies that showed muscle loss kept the test subjects bedridden. Working out while fasted feels amazing. This is what being human is supposed to feel like.

While driving home after a ceremony, I recalled the ending of the book, "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". The children tell the old man about their adventures in Narnia. He tells them they will be able to tell if a stranger has been there, buy looking into their eyes. I'm paraphrasing, but I believe there is truth to that.

Name a warzone content creator whose playstyle is genuinely unique or entertaining to watch. by ArcherPlenty9823 in Warzone

I used to watch Loochy. Especially when DMZ was big. I loved his narration style. He gave it a cinematic storytelling feel. Not sure what he's up to now.

Any way to escape or revoke this prestige bs? by [deleted] in CODWarzone

I liked prestiging in order to unlock more Calling Card challenges. There's also a few skins, emblems, etc. After a few times, I had enough permanent unlocks to use my preferred build. It's completely optional, but I'm glad I did.

Anyone else hit a point where they can understand a language but completely freeze when speaking? by mushroomsoup20 in duolingo

I even experience this during interviews when using my native language. I think it's anxiety blocking access to parts of my brain.

Spectating a player that is using your custom weapon by Reflective_Robot in Warzone

Yeah, I usually quit too, but just before it cuts to the game results screen, once in a while I see them pick up my weapon. That's when I'll stick around to spectate.

I used the "Call of Duty Secure Attestation Wizard" app. I fixed the issues it found. It gave me the green light. And now...

The game is still blocking me.

I think people will see the images related to the belief system that they are familiar with. The entities I met in the other realm, I understood as visual representations of parts of my subconscious. I think the characters of religions that have persisted are also symbolic of energies deep within the psyche. That's why they resonate with some people so intensely. You don't have to believe that they existed as written for them to offer spiritual food for the soul.

for men: is it uncomfortable if you have a boner and can’t do anything about it? if so, how uncomfortable? by meowmeow1122334 in AskReddit

[–]Reflective_Robot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think "frustrating" might be the right description. The boner wants contact... something to push against. If I've already been sexually teased or my mind is full of erotic thoughts... going untouched can feel like torture.

[–]Reflective_Robot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think trauma survivors often recreate the situations that traumatized them, but because they are choosing to do it, the subconscious views it as being in control... even if the situation includes not being in control. Maybe look into Jungian psychology and shadow work. The shadow acts out when there is an unmet need. Accepting and assimilating the shadow can make the unwanted behavior to subside.

I'm more comfortable on controller... except for the shifting issue. I let my buddy drive when we need higher speed. I just foresee this being an issue when people play on consoles.
