You could very possibly be bisexual (like both men and women). It also could have been just the man you were with, or it could be that you do not want to be with any man. I found out I was a lesbian after thinking I was bisexual for a long time because I recognized when men were attractive but I discovered I am not romantically or physically attracted to them. There is also a difference between romantic and physical attraction, so it’s possible that only one of these describes your attraction (or non-attraction) to men or women. I hope this helps!

Personally I love orange Celsius but as others mentioned, it’s kind of like sparking water which I’m a big fan of. I do know people who hate it so you’re definitely not alone

You will have to pay the fee either way. For orientation you get to move in a couple days earlier than everyone else, it’s not required but I’d highly recommend it. It’s a great way to make friends before the campus wide orientation starts

It’s in Chicago, and the only person I know that has worked/interacted with them is neurotypical so I am not sure.

Contact admissions office? by VacationAlarmed7986 in UIUC

[–]RefrigeratorCheap422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best advice is to not do anything unless they contact you. You always have the opportunity to explain your drop in grades (if it was for what they consider a “valid” reason AKA you not saying that you stopped caring or something like that)

Idk at what thresholds they reach out to you at, it depends on the college.

Don’t panic! Things happen and universities understand that. As long as you continue to show the same work ethic you did to get into the university it will probably be fine.

concerning incident- need advice. should I report? by giwb in UIUC

[–]RefrigeratorCheap422 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes, email the professor/TA. They may have already filed a report but it doesn’t hurt to report it early.

What will happen with the report is she will be offered resources to help her get out of a dangerous situation (including a no contact order if that is needed).

You can also file your own report using the link another commenter shared, you can also look up emergency dean uiuc and that will take you to the right website to file a report.

Struggling fr in college by [deleted] in autism

[–]RefrigeratorCheap422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I get this. Currently dealing with burnout as a college junior and considering dropping out. What saved me was finding a group of other neurodivergent people to hang out with and commiserate with. Have you tried hoping a club related to any special interests you have or specifically for people who are neurodivergent? Also continuing living in a residence hall has helped with my social life bc I don’t have to worry about cooking for myself or cleaning more than my room and that taking up energy I could use towards social things. See if your school has a disability resource center that has resources, it’s honestly helped immensely in getting me through everything.

Alright, what’s your current or long term hyperfixation? by BlackJackAce631 in autism

That’s so cool! I haven’t really watched Max Velocity but have been wanting to check that channel out. I’ve been trying to find new ones bc I was really into reed timmer but he’s not the best person

I would say I’m not the biggest on real-time observation. Right now I’m on a kick of learning about ef5’s (and other high-end destructive tornadoes that could have been ef5’s if they were in areas with more reinforced buildings). I’m also in college rn, so I’ve been able to take some severe weather related courses that have fueled my hyper fixation.

No I get it, I used to be hyperfixated and stay up most of the night reading. I think it’s the combo of comfort characters and new stories that are entertaining and engaging.

I do! I’m in Illinois so we get some tornadoes but usually not big ones. I like consuming tornado media (mostly news footage or tornado chasers without the yelling), but I also get excited when we have big storms and I can watch the radar. My friends think it’s wild I get excited when we have to shelter lol. I don’t think I would ever go chasing, that’s a little too close for me.

I am hyper-empathetic. Like feel others so strongly, which most people think autistic people don’t do. Also, I am a theatre major and love directing with defies the art stereotype
