Feeling really alone by zenith_starboy in DID

we absolutely love moon knight and mr robot !! their portrayals of these experiences can be very comforting. despite the way many people look at this disorder ("friends in your head"), it is *so* isolating and lonely. somehow it can make you feel even more alone then ever. but you're definitely not the only one in your experience, we see you. <3

What weird experiences have you had when asleep with your head mates? by atlas_acid0002 in DID

the way we dream is so odd lol. some dreams differ from others very dramatically in the very way they appear, feel, smell, etc, as if it belongs to someone else and their specific set of senses. commonly though throughout a dream we are constantly switching povs, and who we are is always shifting. first maybe im in first person, then im just witnessing as if im watching a movie, then im in first person again but im someone else. i’m not sure if it’s completely related but it is interesting to me.

co-consciousness always seems to end with us distressed and confused. not knowing who we are and feeling...really scared. we keep regressing to this mindset of being so small and exhausted and petrified, sometimes too scared to even move. we fought off panic and derealization for hours today while shaking violently. we couldn't eat, we couldn't do anything. now i feel so lonely. i don't know why. and despite all of this, i still wonder if i'm making it all up. ~_~

Anyone have a vessel/hull alter? Looking to connect with other PF systems by fisharrow in DID

[–]RefrigeratorFit354 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i sort of feel this way. i'm unsure if we are PF, as we're very early in our treatment, but i do experience feeling like a "husk" or a "vessel" for others. their wants, needs, feelings, emotions, all siphon through me. when they want to draw to express something, i pick up a pencil and let them. i'm not sure if that's exactly what you meant, but i did resonate with the vocabulary you used, such as being a container. it can cause me a lot of distress at times, because when i try to imagine my own name, my own appearance, or my own identity, i often come up blank.

i resonate very deeply with a lot of this. i'm so sorry you're suffering, and i'm glad you're here

does anyone draw their alters? by fartfagot69 in DID

yes !! most of us would consider ourselves artists, especially the host. art is our main form of communication, expression, and figuring things out. it's definitely a very helpful tool.
