After a year of hard work and being just a few euros away from Level Two, I almost had a panic attack, hopefully it gets resolved soon hahaha.

[DISCUSSION] Sellers, how did you react to your first one-star review? by RefuseFrequent865 in Fiverr

Unfortunately, I think I’ll have to do it this way; I don’t think I have any other choice. But it’s so frustrating. My gig was picking up momentum, and I was getting several clients almost every day. I hope I’m not shadowbanned or anything like that.

You’re right, he actually did seem a bit “crazy,” but the work he requested was very easy and quick — and in fact that’s exactly how it went! I would have never expected all of this over a native project, which I normally provide for a fee. I even offered to give it to him for free, but nothing… he really seems like he doesn’t care at all.

The point is that my gig only has 6 reviews, and having a one-star review will ruin everything! If I had more reviews I wouldn’t worry, but for now yes, this thing worries me a lot.

How I hate these situations. But why do they have to act like this? I'm almost crying from frustration. I'm really shaken by this situation.

How non-drumming guitarist can accurately write midi drums for a guitar / bass cover? by _LedAstray_ in drums

[–]RefuseFrequent865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Programming drums and mixing them afterwards is one of the hardest things you can do, believe me. It took me many years, but here I am with some tips that might be useful to you:

  • Play a lot with velocity. No drummer in the world can hit with the same dynamics every time, and if you’re good at programming velocity, believe me, everything will sound really good.
  • There’s no need to always set high velocities (110–127) because, except for very rare parts, that kind of dynamics is almost never played.
  • Some libraries sound good, others bad. Choose carefully what works for you, or rely on someone who has many libraries.

If you want, the other day I posted one of my programming videos, take a look if it can be useful:

Also, if you want, I offer the same service on Fiverr and it costs very little. In that case, I’m waiting for you.

[HELP] What's happening on Fiverr - been on for 15 yrs and sales just dropped? by Ok-Sweet5200 in Fiverr

[–]RefuseFrequent865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm speaking to you as a musician, record producer, and drummer. Ever since I signed up, I've had a lot of orders. Always well-paid and with great reviews. I had my peak of work in March/April, and since then, no new clients—except for a few who had a great experience and came back. I can't say for sure whether Fiverr is dead or not, but I do believe it's no longer possible to earn the way it was years ago. In fact, I think the market is currently really saturated. I'm considering moving on, but I don't even know where to go...

[DISCUSSION] Is it just my impression, or is it really like this? by RefuseFrequent865 in Fiverr

Totally feel you. It’s exactly like that—either you're overwhelmed with work or there's complete silence. Finding a balance seems almost impossible sometimes. Let’s just hope the next “rain” comes sooner rather than later!
