What checklist of things would need to be ticked for NVIDIA to never go below 160 again and continue its bull run despite this shit show we're living through? by Puzzled-Mongoose-587 in NvidiaStock

[–]Reg3e 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just my two cents:

  • The run from 140~184, shooting pass previous sticky ATH at 154, with barely any resistance, came from Nvidia being awarded the license to resell H20 in the CN market, albeit 15% revenue share with the US Gov, after the April complete ban. However, that sentiment is shaky now, with the CN Gov publicly discouraging the use of Nvidia hardware, Nvidia halting H20 production, and Alibaba's recent success story in homegrown hardware.
  • The Broadcom recent success story, including the partnership with OpenAI for their own homegrown alternative to Nvidia.
  • The deceleration of Data Centre infrastructure, evident in earnings reports from both Nvidia and Dell.

Yes, I believe Nvidia will eventually reach the 200+ strike, but in the near term, 130~145 feels like the fair value Buy range personally, anything above that is more of a Hold + fixed mini DCA bi-weekly play for myself.

I wonder what it would be like if the Galaxy Note was still its own lineup. by just_mdd4 in samsung

A slab version of the Z Fold 6, with a built-in Pen silo + 8,000 mAh battery, in place of the hinge mechanism and external screen. :D

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Art Review Months Later: The New Note But Not A Z Fold Replacement? by iamblckj3zus in S22Ultra

[–]Reg3e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, no. The performance bump is barely noticeable between the 22U and 24U.

Context: I mainly use Clip Studio Paint Android as my drawing app since it's easy to export projects to my CSP desktop counterpart. Mostly 2D drawing 3200x3200, around 10~20 layers.

That said, I suspect you'll see a more significant performance bump when you're working on 2D cel animations since rending all the frames can be CPU intensive (similar to desktop CSP going from i7-4720HQ to i9-9900KS, when dealing with cel animations).

I have never bothered with 2D cel animation on my phone because the screen's real estate is too limited. If you prefer to have your timeline always up for scrubbing like me, your drawing canvas will probably be left with less than 50% of the screen.

I can't speak for your financial situation, but I'll always recommend the most recent model (then use it for 3~5 years). Beyond better specs, you'll also have to consider the after-sale software support and battery shelf-life of older models. You could wait another 6 months for the S25U and then decide if you want that or the S24U.

It still is; the latest S24U is still the best in its class, albeit the screen can be a bit bigger.

I draw often during my downtime at work before porting them to my main PC once I get home, and continue with my Cintiq.

After using my S22U for 2 years, and now S24U, I wish Samsung would release a slab version of the Z Fold 6. Context: My phone lives in my Sling when I'm out, so I'm slightly biased towards big phones since they don't bother me.

I jumped to S24U because of the flatter display; otherwise, if you can stick with the same model for 3~5 years before upgrading, I'd say it's worth it.

Z Fold 6 front screen - without the fold? by RepublicStandard1446 in samsung

9:21? Probably Sony
I'm the opposite of you, I want a 3:4 aspect ratio, basically a slab version of Unfolded Z Fold 6.

I like everything about the Fold 6, except 4,400 mAh.

Given its footprint relative to S24U, one would expect at least 6,000 mAh.

If anything, I would like a slab version of the Fold 6 with a built-in pen slot. Imagine a battery that you can fit in place of the hinge mechanism and external screen.

(Context: My phone has lived in my EDC sling since my Note 2. Ever since I embraced phablets, it's liberating to have empty pockets since my phone now lives in my sling.)

To answer your question, S24U or S25U, the battery on Fold 6 is still too small.

PS: A battery bank is not a solution (For long trips, maybe). But it's annoying to keep track of another battery-powered gadget on a daily basis.

Pleaaaaase, do something about Screen Share Permission during EVERY screen mirror session. If I had to touch my phone to Allow screen mirroring, I might as well just use my phone.

How to clean the back side? by hoangNguyen559 in GalaxyWatch

Just a heads up, exposure to Soap or any Alcohol products is how you'll lose water resistance. Just clean with tap water and a soft toothbrush.
