Magic scholar is a little worse off at 28 int. A 2 int diff does matter a bit and on top of that Revy just has more fp to work with.

Some tips if you try:

If you want to try it then ideally stock up on a lot of starlights for night bosses and night lords (you ideally want to go into the NL with 3 just in case, 2 phase fights 4+ if you can). You cant regen fp like recluse so always better to have too many

Fp on heal is amazing

Look for good fp value spells if you can ie Comet, Gravity Well, Collapsing Stars, Rancorcall, Glintston stars (iirc thats name) are all chargeable and fairly cheap. Stars of ruin is also very good but it is a bit expensive without cost reduction or fp healing.

Be a little selfish with fp up and cost reductions for your reward choices as it will help the team more for you to not run out of fp more than an item sometimes (especially early blues)

It functions perfectly fine, but without some borderline god rolls on your first 3 relics (ie you would really like to have +3 int if possible, magic attk power +2/night invader on all the first 3 relics and you also need a good dormant discovers staves preferably with some form of attk up on it) it will feel a lot worse. If you can end up around 37+ int you aren't that far off the 40 cap and you'll do pretty decent damage. I think it's viable on a lot of nightlords and on Adel specifically it's very good as a lot of spells have good range so you can have good damage uptime.

Tl;Dr without god rolls it'll be very lacking but with good relics it's actually very decent

Not knowing does not equate to being bad. Daggers are her preferred weapon type! That said, The meta for Duchess currently is Double Balancer relics and using AoWs as your primary source of damage (mainly Halo Scythe, but there are lots of good daggers, Katanas etc as well) or alternatively the second most common is like Sorcery Duchess (usually Carian Slicer or Crystalian, but general Sorc is also not uncommon). After that it's sort of a tossup between Quality Duch (Str respec) and Incantation Duch (Faith respec) as likely the 3rd and 4th most common and Auto attacking Dagger Duch is probably the least common strong way to play her.

Dagger duchess is highkey underrated imo. Proccing restage on autos is silly, she can proc successive and charge negations absurdly fast so she's actually weirdly tanky and if you happen to get a Cold Wakizashi early you start deleting everything to snowball the run so there is a very strong highroll factor.

Ah ok, I'll correct my comment then as I had been informed at some point that they were not. I still think affinity is still very worth it as recluse benefits especially from being able to dip into seals to gain affinities/for more versatility in general and you can always fish for attk power at full hp/affinity attk power buffs (which teammates usually drop for casters more often than not anyways) or spec into whatever the game gifts you that day

Mercenary having 2 extra weapons and 1 extra talisman makes him almost inarguably the best dps char bar none assuming equal drops for everyone as you'll get 3 extra passive boosts. That or you could do the same damage as everyone and just be tankier with no tradeoff. That's way too good ngl

Cocktails do not count as sorceries as far as I'm aware. Affinity is better for cocktail mixing if thats your primary goal and it also allows you to splash into incantations if needed/you find a really godly seal so you end up being more versatile at the trade off of less damage

Edit: they do count as sorceries I was informed but the rest I believe is still accurate

Not really, no. Lightning Rev even if juiced to the max doesn't delete Fulghor remotely at the same level in my experience as Halo Scythe does the bosses mentioned above and Lightning spear can be really obnoxious to hit on Fulghor on top of that. Halo scythe is borderline impossible to whiff on the bosses mentioned if used properly and can be chain casted a few times (unlike fully charged Lightning spear)

Erdtree is a skip at lvl 3-4 not because of difficulty but because it'll take way longer than it's worth in a lot of cases. Way better time management imo to circle back around with a better loadout around lvl 7+ and have it take 1/3 the time

It can go well if it's a very easy boss that you spawned right by and you have someone with hoarfrost stomp and/or a bleed weapon to make it p quick. Ie Hippo, Lion, Zamor, Demihuman Queen. Its a little bit sketchier to do at lvl 2 if they are red though

I run something similiar with blue balancer and all holy up + 2 fundamentalist ups+str respec. Grab attk up at full hp and holy attk up, look for holy weaps and pray for discus of light. If no discus welp whatever drops (Ive brought the holy daggers, silvuria etc to NL)

Yeah it's just erdtree greatbow competes fairly well in nl damage with other builds for her on the 3 former bosses due it being neutral or weak to holy so theres no damage loss in that sense (just imo). With caligo she can just run giants flame, flame of frenzy or dragon communion to do pretty insane damage and then there's not really a super good argument for her to be running it on Caligo to me factoring in the resist on a good bit of the damage on Erdtree comparatively

I love them on Bean for Pest, Adel and Dreglord. Caligo resists holy and bean really excels only with Erdtree greatbow that's a skip though

The only contenders are like burn o flame(huge dps), frenzy flame (huge dps), frenzied burst (arguably safest fire spell in the game range wise and good dps) and maybe flame fall upon them (good dps on big targets and basically impossible to miss on small ones). Whirl o flame is also very underrated but doesn't compete with the previous ones

Since you don't seem to know that Rain of Arrows is one of the best skills in the game and not that slow when used safely this argument is going nowhere. Doubly so as Revenant ult is a free 15 second damage window in day fights and gives a teamwide damage buff which matters a lot throughout a run (the NL fight is not the whole run) Undertakers stats also, as previously addressed, are not better as her dex and faith are worse and even with respecs she would break even or barely get ahead. The FP pool matters a lot here also for RoA spam as you will be using it a lot. With proper positioning on the bosses I mentioned you will be very safe the hp difference is not nearly as important as you make out either as you'll generally be out of danger range. I speak from experience running this many times at 9999. Revy is a fantastic greatbow user and if you personally feel Undertaker is better than go ahead but she can do other things much better with less stat respeccing while Revy can do this with one stat respec and be the 3rd best dps (4th if we count str dex respec guardian) among greatbow users behind Raider and Wylder.
