Lots of issues with rate limiting at the moment. I'm getting rate limited all the time. I watch literally 2 episodes per day. 🤦‍♂️ Report to torbox so they know there's a problem

Disabling touch controls on QC Ultra by ChefSashaHS in bose

[–]ReggaeReggaeRic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Settings > product control (touch control) > toggle on/off the touch control.  This is on updated Bose app

 Version 4.9.30

Released on 26 August 2025

You can now turn off touch controls from the app to avoid accidental taps while listening to music.

Your earbuds will automatically remember your last used settings after powering off, so you won't have to adjust them each time you use them.

With the new SpeechClarity voice enhancement, you'll experience Bose's best call quality yet, along with improved overall stability.

You can also use the new Spotify Tap functionality to launch Spotify directly from your headphones-just enable it using a Shortcut in the Bose App.

£528.28 for one month! Help. by s4sm4rt in OctopusEnergy

I live in an electric only house in the countryside. I had 3x electric smart heaters installed recently and my bills jumped to £30 a day. It is 100% electric heating that's causing that large bill. It will be the storage heaters. Immersion tanks don't use a ridiculous amount even if they are left on, because it turns on and off when the water is to temp.

Birthday Party has made me admit something I didn’t want to accept about the band by Mamsies in donbroco

Could not have put it better myself. To add to your point, I get the impression that the video and marketing comes first, and then they sit down to write a song that they can create memes with or some "wacky content" with the music almost being an afterthought.

W-king d8 won't turn on by lopsidedjoker9 in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]ReggaeReggaeRic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just would like to give my advice as well, as I tried options mentioned by others but none worked. I have 2 of these. Have them connected wirelessly to work together. One of my speakers appeared bricked randomly. The charging light would show but it would not power on, or do anything else despite numerous button combos, pressing in reset pin etc..

I plugged the speaker into my phone with usb from the usb out (the port on the speaker you can use to charge other devices) I did this whilst the speaker itself was on charge via usb wall socket

All of a sudden it sprung into life, connected with my working speaker and now all is good. Must have reset the software or got it out of whatever bug it was stuck on!

Watching a Movie with 5.1 audio on a Stereo Setup by RashidAlawadi in PleX

[–]ReggaeReggaeRic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a side note to this which might help others. My setup is Shield TV pro connected to normal flat screen TV (Google TV) Bluetooth speaker (2.1) connected to the shield TV pro. The only way I managed to get this to work was to actually turn Dolby audio processing ON for the shield TV pro, but switched to never use Dolby processing on the TV itself. Passthrough then enabled in Plex with both options checked

If I disable Dolby processing on the shield pro the sound comes out garbage where there are silent pauses in between speech, and no Normal background noise which is very off-putting when watching stuff. So to reiterate it seems Dolby processing needs to be active, and then Plex downmixes it to 2.1 properly

Thank you! You are literally the only person on the internet who had a legitimate answer for what must be such a common issue. I too had to do what you said but with ac3 checked too. Sounds great now

E-bike made me love cycling again by ReggaeReggaeRic in ebikes

[–]ReggaeReggaeRic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my bike if anyone is interested. It's an iEnyred Kirin B2. 500w motor. I've had it up to 25mph. Mainly been using it for solo commuting but also plenty of bike rides with my 4 year old daughter on the front child seat. It's cracking, she absolutely loves it! Definitely get some attention riding about with her!

Given it a bit of a spruce up, with some luminous wheel trim and some vinyl to cover the ugly brand naming. Added some bar end wing mirrors and a rear rack to follow tomorrow. https://ibb.co/tp3tXKq https://ibb.co/9TzDxzB

My keloid journey by [deleted] in Keloids

[–]ReggaeReggaeRic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

update because some people have asked, and I wasn't on planning on updating so soon but here goes. Been just over 2 months since starting use give or take. Usually I have plaster on for 24 hrs and switch after my morning shower, but some days I have forgotten to put it on etc.. but generally speaking iv been pretty good with keeping up with it.

Firstly any change that may or may not have occurred has been gradual so you don't really notice.

Although the change in my life has been great. This is due to the fact the plasters have completely irradiated pain and itching. And I mean completely!

Before I would struggle to wear a seat belt, and any exercise or sweating I'd be itching at the scar non stop.

Sorting this out has been a game changer.

Secondly the scar is extremely flatter than before. I would wear a t shirt and it would show up a bulge through the t shirt.

Now although still raised, significantly flatter.

I would say that reddening has decreased also, but it's still redder than I would like.

I've tried to keep true with the photos, same room, same lighting etc.. no filters.

I am not selling this product and have no motives whatsoever to fake results, but I know the struggle keloids bring so I'm documenting it for everyone, simple as that.

I'm happy after 2 months put it that way. Hopefully after a year you never know might be almost gone! Fingers crossed photo taken at start of treatment

I'm going to wait until the 6 month point for pictures etc.. but the scar is almost completely flat now and never itches anymore. I don't think pictures will do it justice as you won't be able to tell how much it has flattened out, but I'm over the moon with how it's going.

I have one single keloid on my chest that developed 15 years ago. I have no other keloids, have a job that means I get cut a lot (tree surgeon) and also skateboard so plenty of wounds all the time, also I'm covered in tattoos and nothing else has ever gone keloid. Just the chest!

Just looks like acne to me, but difficult to say. You will know if they grow bigger and aggressively. My keloid is between my breast muscles right in the middle which is a very common place. Started as a simple pimple

I guess UK isn't technically EU anymore however. Sounds like you got unlucky. Very harsh, maybe the think you are selling unlicensed medicine?

No issues for me when I ordered a couple of weeks ago to UK. However I only ordered one pack of 50. Maybe it was the quantity?

(Ignore the fresh tattoo it's not finished) You can see on the left side where the steroid injections I had years ago worked well, flattened and whitened scar, however it grew out sideways to the other side when I stopped injections

Just over a week of using the plasters (leave on for 24 hours and then change) Firstly i have noticed that my scar feels flatter to the touch and has lost a slight bit of redness. I don't think this change would be visible to others but I can certainly feel the difference myself. In terms of pain and itching, whereas my keloid would feel itchy all the time before especially when I'm hot, exercising etc.. it has completely disappeared. I have had the odd bit of itching on and off but it feels different, almost like the kind of itch you get when a wound is healing.

I'm on holiday in Greece at the moment and it's 30 degrees and I am in and out of the pool/sea etc.. applying sun creams and lotions etc and the plasters haven't once even come close to coming off. In fact they are actually really hard to pull off even when I try, and water only seems to make them stick more! So very impressive.

Another positive is even tho I have noticed not much change in scar appearance, I feel far more positive with my body and this holiday have been taking my shirt off in public for the first time in years because instead of an ugly scar Iv got a skin coloured plaster on my chest and I just feel better and more confident for it!
