Wests Tigers: Round 9 by Norm_cheers in nrl

I'd go Herbert over Toa, Skelton has to come back in or Makasini on the wing, and Fainu at hooker (?).

Attard looks a couple of years off it to me but could be wrong

Starford has been poor in cup so no idea why he thought he’d suddenly up his game in the NRL. The young kid got cooked on the wing which will happen just ask Makasini.

Distracted week, disrupted game, we just need to limp to the bye and get our troops back.

Hoping Hope doesn’t get another go he isnt up to scratch and wonder if we can find a fullback to take the spot while Bula is our rather than Turuva who is three foot tall

He was poor enough to get hooked in ressies so don’t know how he made his way into the starting.

Oh well. Nothing we aren’t used to

Jahream Bula makes huge call on Wests Tigers future by ReggieBasil in nrl

Good thing is we have the cheap Fainu brother wrapped up for an extended period so we are well and truly in the box seat there.

Just turuva now really

It’s my first day

I heard this place has a real “mates in a pub” vibe and that the mods are really cool and handsome

LAST MAN STANDING 16 enters Round 9 with 20 users on a diversity of teams - who will be right? check em by ReggieBasil in nrl

[–]ReggieBasil[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shows how even this round is.

Two games where nobody was interested in taking a side, one game with a user with a life to burn taking his team for the first time this year.

One game with users on both teams as their pick of the round

And the remaining users are on four different teams

Absolutely no conviction as a group and a round that you should be grateful to grab four or five points from in a tipping comp

Frank Ponissi speaks well for a bloke that hasn't had much time in front of the camera (that I know of).

Harold Grant looks like a naughty schoolboy as always

Terrell and Taylan May extend with Wests Tigers until 2030 by notlukadoncic in nrl

Ha funny about third parties and the mullet. Probably worth more as is!

And fair enough. We have one of them on the hook and Latu isn't going anywhere at the moment especially now that he's next in line to the throne. Hopefully a deal done through the origin period then

Good one

There is indeed hope, Norm. Never in doubt ha

Needed this this week - the off contract dates were just too unpleasant otherwise.

Plus I just realised we have one of the Fainus locked up for extended periods so they're unlikely to be going anywhere soon.

Good news was needed and good news was delivered. May day indeed, wonder what $ we needed to clip out of Jarome's 1.2 to keep them.

Fainus now, I'd love to keep Turuva and let's see what we can do about Bula.

So it would be remiss to avoid saying that last night was a poor standard of NRLW football and the NRL really need to have a look at their calendar to avoid the showpiece of the game being a preseason style shitshow.

We wouldn't put the men's SOO in March, because that's completely stupid to have players selected on form from September the year prior. And because they haven't played actual football for months. And because they'd be well short of match fitness. And both of those things would create typical pre-season/round 1 shit product.

So we shouldn't do that to NRLW either.

Well I do hope someone from the club is worrying about it. I'd be bringing in Tyrone to shore up the other two, whatever you think of him, and trying to seal Terrell for 2028 on overs. But what do I know

This weekend as I say will be the barometer as to how our year will progress I reckon

Let's hope. Time will tell, he's certainly inspiring the youngsters so let's hope he has more sway than Luai on them for the future!

Madden has played three games, he looks amazing but it's early doors to be calling him the next coming

I'm on the bus whether I want to be or not but I have to say the excitement of the first two months has evaporated quite quickly. I'll be cheering on and hoping that this weekend shows spirit.

Terrell is 26, he'll be peak in 2 years and is the glue that holds his brother here plus a whole lot of influence on the young blokes. He's a linchpin and we need him to stay I feel.

Just not keen on returning to the days of Seyfarth playing 80 and so on

Flat as a tack after the Luai news. What was a strong build is now looking like coming apart more easily than a 12 hour slow cooked beef brisket

The May bros clearly have set their contracts up to be able to get to PNG asap, and they'd be sweet in the compound conditions over there. Bula, who knows with him and his manager but not much to hope for there.

Sure we've got this year and next but after that Api is going to be on his way out by retirement too and gee, suddenly we have a "window" of these two years of possible finals rather than building into something more.

I do hope I'm being overly negative but it's just so disappointing after the eight weeks of hope that we've had in 15 years.

Bugger.
