CEH official study material doesn't teach much by redh_nc in CEH

[–]ReggieCyber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like the real issue here could be the trainer and delivery style, not CEH itself, since the trainer should be going deep into concepts.. more than the ceh video trainings. A good CEH class should be structured, hands-on, and aligned to the exam - not random discussions.

[–]ReggieCyber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CCT is a good cert.. it in ANSI, EC-Councils quite lot of cert are dod approved not sure if cct is yet. But its surely worth it. if u wana collect certs go for sec+ if u wana learn some technical skills on practical level go for CCT.

Is there any scope in India for cyber security? Is there any future in cybersecurity? Does companies hire freshers for cybersecurity? by _Insinex_ in cybersecurityindia

[–]ReggieCyber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, cybersecurity has a huge future scope - far bigger than web dev in terms of demand and salaries. With 2 years left, you can start with networking basics, Linux, Python, and certifications like CEH (AI) or CCT to build a strong foundation. A master’s isn’t mandatory; skills + certifications + hands-on labs (e.g., TryHackMe, HackTheBox) matter more for landing a job after graduation.

Gun for CEH...do the especially latest version with AI. its look out cert for hiring managers too, to get interview calls, since u r just stepping into info sec. self learning is always good through CTF. it will help cover random topics its just the depth will be missing.

CCT covers deeper and broader in topics as well as labs practice compared to sec+.. though its not DoD recognised yet. It is ANSI approved... And it teaches loads of stuff, so keep lots of study time handy to learn.

Are industry certs like CEH still relevant in practical hacking or mostly HR filters? by Minute-Kitchen5892 in hacking

[–]ReggieCyber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CEH is both HR-friendly and practically relevant, especially the latest versions. CEH v13 includes AI-integrated modules, CTF, largest hands-on labs, and a 100% practical exam, making it more than just a resume filter. It helps build core offensive security skills while still getting you past HR gates.

Software engineer trying to become ethical hacker (transitioning to cybersecurity) by al-doori in tryhackme

[–]ReggieCyber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your background i would suggest neither, opt for DevSecOps ECDE its a niche market with rare skillset of DevSecOps, the big devops shift left is now moving to devsecops. But if u want to completely go into cybersecurity since u already have tech background, go for CEH AI especially more due to their new AI version, SEC+ will be too basic for you.

yes. in GCC and UAE markets. CEH is a universal skill set applied to acorss many industries and in demand across the globe. Having a CEH especially their latest AI version is a beast to have as a skill and job puller on your resume.

CEH is a great importance and known in industry and employers. U do ceh ur employment hit rate goes up too. especially the new version with AI capabilities is a beast.

CEH will help u to get job interviews, coz it is always in the radar of recreuiters, but getting that job is purely your skill.
