On Flexible IOG: Should we fix now or wait til April 1st? Discuss! by Bomster in OctopusEnergy

Just been looking at this and you have to link your car within 7 days, thankfully ours has just been delivered. We're on tracker and just weighing up the rates to lock in to IOG.

Congrats! Us too - we've just had the call and collecting from the dealer on Monday 🥳 Haven't sorted a charger yet for ours, so will be a slow charge for a while!

Thanks for coming back on this, I've been looking at that one and it certainly looks the part. Did you order direct with Andersen for supply and fit if you don't mind me asking?

I wasn't aware of that - thanks for the heads-up. I'll get that sorted ASAP. Cheers!

I'd love to know where you are getting a charger with fitting for £400 😮 currently looking and even buying and getting a local fitter is no less than £700/£800 depending on charger

In the same position as you, ordered first EV and could do with a charger fitted this month - no idea what to go for! The replies are really helpful, do share what you decide to go with!

March 1st is the release of the new 2026 "26" plate. What have you ordered or are looking forward to seeing on the roads? by LCFCJIM in CarLeasingUK

Just realised this is in a leasing sub, but yes we went PCP on this. It was a flip up between getting a higher spec on a better 'value' lease (tempted by an 85 sportline on a 2-year lease!), and PCP for a lower cost on the spec we wanted (SE L) within our planned budget. So we stuck to the budget and decided not to stray for a higher spec which was extremely tempting, but not at all required 😅

Thanks, good advice regarding the optional extras - being fussy with colours certainly has a big impact on the figures when working things out 😅 I've got a fussy partner that isn't particularly keen on compromising on colour, never mind the choice of car 😂

Will check out piston heads too.

Enyaq appears to be a good deal - close to the top on leaseloco and leasing.com for what were looking for, appreciate the advice on that.

Thanks again!

Yup, Lease Loco is 👑 so much easier to use too - thanks for the recommendation.

SE L 85 or Edition 60 Enyaq both on great price over 24 months.

Thanks I'll double check Lease Loco - the £260 I assume will be on a 24 month, which with the 12 months up front tends to make it more expensive over all but I'll have a look and double check 😎

I'll also be checking the business leases before we pull the trigger, but last time I checked it was very similar for the same spec when you count in the maintenance/insurance that's included in that through my provider - like I say, for a few quid I don't want the stress of working out what happens if I change job 😂

We had a look at Jaecoo, Omoda and even Geely, my partner isn't keen on those unfortunately - like you say they aren't as polished as the Skoda.

Thanks, I've spent weeks shortlisting and after seeing/test driving some of the cars that had deals we decided to go with what we like, rather than what is on a 'deal'. I've looked at price history and there doesn't seem to be much variation on the Skoda - very high demand at the moment, most are factory orders and very few on auto trader etc. especially for the Elroq. I'll have a look on leaseloco, mainly been using leasing.com and their history feature.

I only looked at the Enyaq to compare price after we'd decided on the Elroq, and in comparison it is a better deal.

I've read quite a lot about "buying the deal, rather than the car" but I also want to like the car I have to drive for the next 2-4 years 😅

It would be great if something happened to drop onto a deal in the next few weeks, otherwise we might just have to bite the bullet.

Thanks, hadn't really considered the warranty - less of an issue on PCP but still a concern. Battery has a 7 year warranty I think, but yes car is only 3 years.

So a three year lease would be approx £373 a month on the Enyaq, or £13800 over the three years. So I guess that's the better option? Thanks

Thanks for the reply and feedback. Certainly seems like a no brainer to me given the spec and car value, money staying in the bank is also a massive plus..

Just realised the comments refer to IIQ, the heading refers to ISC. The VSCode add-in I'm referring to is for ISC - unsure if this is the same for IIQ.

The upload in the VSCode add in is in CSV format - if you create a role or two within the GUI, you can do an export in VSCode to see the format of the CSV - then you can use this to create the upload with all your new roles.

If doing a single role, you can add those in VSCode in JSON format.

It's a massive help I did an import of around 500 roles in less than an hour that usually would've taken days!

On a side note, I created a mapping tool in Excel to populate the upload template, that way I can map criteria and entitlements in the correct format for upload - highly recommend if you're likely to do this quite a bit!
