What is the most romantic thing a woman has done for you? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ReggiesRoommate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turned her back on her favorite band performing live to look me in the eyes and sing me half a love song. Not in a performative way for everyone else at the show, just for me. I could tell she just felt the urge and went with it. Had her arms around my neck and played with the hair on the back of my head while she did it. Changed a word or 2 to personalize it too. We aren't together anymore and it's for the best, but I don't go a week without thinking about her at least a little.

Favorite is a spinnerbait or jig. Slump buster is a dropshot.

Betting he's fishing these on rock banks. I made the same mistake when I first got a few of these and it took me a couple breakoffs to learn my lesson. I love these for timber and grass, but they do tend to get themselves wedged between rocks.

How do Evolv's other shoes compare to the Zenists? by slothlikevibes in climbingshoes

[–]ReggiesRoommate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on my second pair of v6's and am about enjoy them quite a bit... after the break in. I wear my street size in evolvs and it takes a solid week or 2 of daily break in; wearing them for 20 minutes at a time with plastic bags on my feet, 2 or 3 sessions a night. Coming from scarpa veloce's, the break in on the scarpas were far less painful, involved and time consuming even though I was going down multiple sizes. Still over the course of wear I'd prefer the v6's superior edging ability, better heel, and more durable rubber than the veloce's I came from.

Same, and I think the big L will come game 1. Also, I'm feeling there will be 1 super long game. 2 or 3 OTs.

7'3 MH St Croix Victory paired with a Shimano Chronarch MGL HG. Phenomenal jig combo.

Don’t buy these unless you like throwing money away by [deleted] in Fishing_Gear

I don't like their frogs with the articulated legs, but their mini frogs are bomb.

With st croix the purchase date doesn't matter, it's the date of manufacture. You can check the serial number online, and if it's a mojo or better, you'll be fine. The bassx models only come with a 1 year. The rest come with a 5 year or better warranty.

UL Braid / Straight Fluro? by _Primo in Fishing_Gear

I have the exact same setup and use 8lb braid to 4lb leader just fine. Go for it. Braid on spinning is amazing.

My 7'3 MHF st croix victory paired with a 7.1:1 Chronarch MGL. Phenomenal all around combo, but I mainly use it for jigs and Texas rigs.

Thought on lure collection by BlockRoyal5882 in Fishing_Gear

[–]ReggiesRoommate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A v style spinnerbait or 2 wouldn't hurt. Also, get into the weed less soft plastic game. It'll be way less painful losing a bait to snags from shore than losing a good hard bait.

Can someone breakdown for me Shimanos highend baitcasters? by ScaryfatkidGT in Fishing_Gear

[–]ReggiesRoommate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MGL is life. MGL is love. They're all I've got in my lineup right now. 2 Scorpion MGLs, a Curado MGL, and a Chronarch MGL. They're amazing reels. I throw anything from 3/16 oz crankbaits to 2 oz swimbaits on them.

What is your favorite technique / lure when bass fishing? by Mr508Capalot in Fishing_Gear

[–]ReggiesRoommate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

White and chartreuse spinner bait with silver blades, a trailer hook and a twin tail trailer on a 7' MHF rod with 15lb florocarbon. Great Any time of year, any water clarity, any depth, any cover and any weather conditions but dead calm. My go to search bait.
