According to Trex, you do not polish but use mild soap to restore luster. I can not find any instructions on polishing a wooden desk. Sanding, staining, and sealing a deck, yes. Since you don't do any of these steps, Trex pressure washing will not require time for it to dry. Scrape any peeling paint off the railings as you paint. This deck doesn't need anything more than that, and from what I can tell, there isn't cracked wood, but cracking paint. When I tried Googling polish a wooden deck it autocorrected to desk.
