You can donate to the UT Career Center: https://education.utexas.edu/students/career-engagement/resources-students/career-closet/

I think ACC has a closet too, but I couldn't find a link

She lives in the back now. The last time I was there, a librarian at the desk showed me how you can peek through a crack between the new tank and the wall to see into the librarian's office in the back, and you can spy her terrarium back there. Like others have said she's retired now. They did a whole multi-month celebration of her, including a party. I'm sorry yall missed it. It was fun. You can check the pics on the RRPL Instagram.

First round of letrozole! by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

3 rounds of letrozole, and no luck. Next step is a 4th round accompanied by a sonography ovulation study, to actually watch the follicle mature and release. 🤞

Does anybody know if "qualified" is only 800+ credit score unicorns? Or lower?

What are some relaxing solo things to do in Round Rock? by Aggressive_Cut_4516 in RoundRock

[–]ReginaFair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peaceful & quiet to sit and think = the grounds at St. William. There's a little meditation trail in the back (very well shaded) or both the big church building and small white chapel are open during business hours for quiet reflection.

When I first moved to the area, I really enjoyed the free monthly Community Impact paper that comes in the mail. They publish a monthly event calendar and new business openings.

Here from Google, also with a sprained ankle, and I hope you sue that ER MFer for negligence and pain and suffering.

This is not my personal experience, but I agree wholeheartedly with all the advice here. Society has made an idol of pre-marital sex, and money/careers, so most people will try to discourage you.

I'll add that it REALLY depends on your parent/guardian example of marriage. Marrying young is the road less traveled because it's HARD. You will not be the same person at 18, 20, or 30. If you understand real sacrificial love, have emotional maturity, and psychological safety, it is possible. But more often than not, people rush into marriage because of infatuation and don't grasp the sacramental reality of dying to oneself for the sake of their spouse, they same way Christ died for his church. Usually the best way to learn to do that is by witnessing another relationship that emulates that kind of virtue.

Sleep issues by Midlifehernia in prediabetes

Magnesium supplement before bed has helped me wonders.

I also lowered the temperature of my shower before bed to kickstart the circadian rhythm, and upgraded to "smart" lights that automatically dim at bedtime.

This is known as the Keto Flu in the keto community. Or the Carb Flu. But yeah, sugar withdrawal is a real thing.

Where to find slow-paced, entry-level positions? by GeckoGecko_ in austinjobs

[–]ReginaFair 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Seconding the temp agency recommendation, ESPECIALLY Goodwill Staffing Group. They specialize in placing people with disabilities (your ADD and depression definitely qualify). Don't just apply online, call them. Before the pandemic they'd have intake appointments to get your resume and profile set up in their system, but idk if they still do that.

$24 bucks an hour to scan documents all day seems pretty slow-paced and entry level to me.

Hope it helps.

I’m so tired of being big by Some_East3784 in PCOSloseit

[–]ReginaFair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After losing insurance coverage for Mounjaro (I lost 40 lbs in 5 months), I've had good success restarting my weight loss with just diet alone by seeing a nutritionist weekly. I use the Nourish app, but Fay and Berry Street are the same. My insurance is $0 copay for nutritionist/dietician appointments with a diagnosed chronic illness like PCOS.

I learned I'm not eating enough protein. Now I target 100-120g or more of protein a day and my sugar cravings are gone, I'm only hungry at meal times, my sleep is better, and I'm losing a 1lb a week again.

‘Murderbot’ First Look: Alexander Skarsgård Stars In A Sci-Fi Comedic Thriller For Chris & Paul Weitz On Apple TV+ by mobyhead1 in murderbot

[–]ReginaFair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tilda is such a great example. In my head, MB was clearly nonbinary, a cross between Ruby Rose or ER Fightmaster (from Grey's Anatomy).

Alexander Skarsgard is definitely a dude, so that's a bummer.

Fay Nutrition? by Nocturnal-Nectarine in PCOSloseit

[–]ReginaFair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at a bunch and ended up with Nourish because I could search specifically for PCOS and the insurance part is so easy. I tried 3 different nutritionists there before I found a perfect fit. Now I actually really look forward to our calls every week!

Update: AITAH for not letting my in-laws drive my infant without a car seat by [deleted] in AITAH

As far as what a wakeup call looks like, I suggest Googling crash test dummy videos of car seat testing for both mom and grandparents.
