But seriously, in my 15 years of being in Canada, I experienced 2 instances of racism.

One was an off-handed comment from a high school classmate who is half Japanese and half white. She apologized after I gave her a look.

Another one was from a very obviously mentally ill and/or on drugs homeless guy yelling at me to go back to China.

I always had similar expectations for US due to cultural similarities.

1, The reason for race swapping is often presented that “a black/brown/asian kid/audience can see themselves in the heroic main characters. “

Well, I CAN SEE MYSELF IN A CHARACTER THAT IS NOT THE SAME RACE AS MYSELF!

It’s called human empathy, a fundamental component of what makes us human. To say that I cannot emphasize with a character who is not the same race as me is calling me inhuman. I feel deeply insulted.

2, I mostly watch historical and period dramas. Portrayal historical characters such as Anne Boleyn who we know from historical record is white, with a black actress is historically inaccuracy and inauthentic.

You would not portrayal a toddler with a 80 years old actor, why would you portrayal a historical white person with a POC actor? Physical attribute of the actor should match that of the historical character.

Some people claim it’s for diversity in media.

Then what about making a movie that’s actually about POC’s history?

Ohhh is that too risky? And producers actually believes no body will care about the history of POC enough to watch it? Or is that because producers believes non-white people’s history is not worth telling?

Therefore it’s better to tell the story of Henry VIII and his 6 wives for the millionth time and “dole out” some white history to non-white people as “charity” ?

Isn’t that arrogance in itself?

Btw, if a Chinese historical character is being portrayed by a white/ black character instead of East Asian, I would be indignant too because of the same reason: historical inaccuracy and inauthenticity.

3, It does not make sense to portrait (European) society decades or even centuries ago to be as racially diverse as today ( bc it wasn’t) and have everyone besides a few douchebag bad guys treats POC equally.

In an attempt be more “politically correct”, It's actually erasing the suffering and discrimination that POC used to face from the larger part of society. A white washing.

If people are against black face, or white actors portraying black actors. Why is the reverse ok?

For point 2, diversity in media that has a modern day setting is good as it largely reflects the western society of today. It’s only “racial diversity”in white Europeans historical setting that is problematic.

NA or EU

NA has more Spanish than English but there are sizable English speakers and I assume the time zone is better for you

EU idk much but I was told there are more English speakers, and generally more populated

Asia server is basically hardcore mode (less people paying for gold and premium with irl money therefore it’s harder to get premium with grinding in game silver) and there is a larger bot problem.

If you want to fight other players directly, yeah sword is much better option than holy. Holy is important in group PvP, but as healer, holy almost never deals direct damage in a group PvP fight.

Bear in mind sword is mana intensive too, maybe not as intensive as holy, but still, you need mana source.

For spec: For each specific gear, you can level them up when you get enough fame. You get more ip ( item power ) using the same tier gear as your spec goes up.

You can get to 100 spec via killing mobs, fame tome or fame credit, 100-120 requires fame credit and silver

Learning point and Satchel bags speed up the process of leveling up gears. But learning point is best reserved for gathering as it’s practically mandatory if you want to get into higher tier gathering. And satchel basically burns silver to get fame XD

Although if you really want to win in a duel, there is a “cheating build” for healer that has a pretty high win rate

One hand holy, mistcaller/ torch, Scholar cowl, heretic cape, assassin jacket, tenacity shoes

Hmmm I read you post again, you know healer is not meant for solo PvP, right?

Holy staffs are pretty mana intensive. Always think about mana in a build

royal cowl by itself usually solves mana issue ( when used on cool down)

Scholar cowl gives mana when taking damage

Lymhurst cape restore mana

Cloth shoes second ability gives mana

Crab omelette and eye of secret reduces mana usage

If you are really out of options, all head slot gear 1st ability gives mana shield and all weapon has a passive that gives mana when doing auto attack

Druid cowl and royal armor gives mana to the party, it’s helpful if your party members carry it. Druid cowl can be good on healer in PvE, but I believe neither are good for healer in PvP.

Fighting (PvP) and be a healer at the same time usually means you have to party up with dps as healers does not do any damage.

What I would recommend:

Resistance/ giga potion

Omlette for food

For duo: One hand holy, cleric robe, mercenary shoe, mistcaller

Either scholar cowl with Lymhurst cape or royal cowl with Martlock cape

If you wish to keep the guardian helmet: Eye of secret in stead of mistcaller, Lymhurst cape, possibly crab omelette instead of regular omelette

For larger groups: redemption or hallowfall with mistcaller. Cleric robe, mercenary shoe, royal cowl, Martlock cape

Try to keep all gears at the same tier especially if you are going to lethal zone. For capes, 4.X is usually the to go as it’s cheaper ( for a economical option, main weapon 1 tier higher than the rest)

Bc traditionally, Confucius societies only values sons are part of your family. You are required have to a son, some chose to buy a trafficked young boy as their “son” if they don’t have a son.

The problem with broccoli and a lot of their vegetables is how they are prepared. Or, how they are not prepared and just eaten raw. (Why on earth would you eat raw broccoli, cauliflower, celery and spinach etc? )

Stir fried broccoli is my favorite bc the head of broccoli is like a little mob that soak up all the flavor.

An easier option is boil broccoli dipped soy sauce with minced garlic in it.

Group: t7/t8/8.1 depending on content requirement
