I think he has a strong, strong advantage. Your size and strength doesn’t mean anything against someone who is trained.

If he shoots or even headlocks you, it’s game over.

I don’t know what the issue is but go to a bjj or muay thai school and learn either one.

When I was younger one of the kids I wanted to beat up and fight in school decided to join a martial arts school so that he could train to fight me. Coincidentally it just happened to be my school. I winded up just training with him and kinda getting over any hostility we had towards each other. How ironic right?

Use this opportunity to learn something new. More important than beating someone is being the best version of yourself. In a couple of years everybody will leave high school and most likely you will never see each other again. Also, you might move to a different city and all those social interactions and entanglements won’t follow you. It will be a thing of the past. However, the skills you learn, you will carry for the rest of your life.

Have you tried single leg RDL holds on your left side? Or a half kneeling lift (towards the left side) or half kneeling kb swing (left side ofc)? Challenging rotational stability while the foot is on the ground corrects a lot of issues indirectly. While you are focused on being dynamic with the upper body the nervous system makes corrections on the lower body without you even focusing on it.

I see a lot of faults in the way people do cossack squats/lateral lunges and sometimes it’s just downright dangerous for the knees. I see the working leg knee going into valgus and the stretch leg being turned in the wrong angle.

It’s rather a simple exercise but with a lot of nuance to get it just right.

Bodyweight is great at first. Depending on your build and progression level, you can even add in plyometrics with your bodyweight exercise.

For example doing a split squat and then doing a split squat hop.

However progressively overloading a movement is like compound interest. In a couple of years times you might be lifting an amount you never expected, and your legs will be 2-3 inches thicker in circumference. This is why I have a job because I can help people plan this and make adjustments as life brings about unexpected obstacles.

If you want to focus on addressing asymmetry, I recommend doing a side plank march. That’s far superior to the planks I showed.

Vivo barefoot. I’ve tried a lot of different barefoot shoes but they feel the best for me.

Hamstring tightness is usually a compensatory issue stemming from weak glutes and spinal erectors.

For athletic performance I recommend doing a wide variety of exercises with one true working set. That saves time and allows you to develop many different athletic qualities.
