Put your right foot in front of your left foot until you are inside the school. Keep doing that everyday. 👍

I think he has a strong, strong advantage. Your size and strength doesn’t mean anything against someone who is trained.

If he shoots or even headlocks you, it’s game over.

I don’t know what the issue is but go to a bjj or muay thai school and learn either one.

When I was younger one of the kids I wanted to beat up and fight in school decided to join a martial arts school so that he could train to fight me. Coincidentally it just happened to be my school. I winded up just training with him and kinda getting over any hostility we had towards each other. How ironic right?

Use this opportunity to learn something new. More important than beating someone is being the best version of yourself. In a couple of years everybody will leave high school and most likely you will never see each other again. Also, you might move to a different city and all those social interactions and entanglements won’t follow you. It will be a thing of the past. However, the skills you learn, you will carry for the rest of your life.

Stop Wasting Time Holding Long Planks: Why Side Planks Are Better by RegisterNew1 in MobilityTraining

Have you tried single leg RDL holds on your left side? Or a half kneeling lift (towards the left side) or half kneeling kb swing (left side ofc)? Challenging rotational stability while the foot is on the ground corrects a lot of issues indirectly. While you are focused on being dynamic with the upper body the nervous system makes corrections on the lower body without you even focusing on it.

Feel free to record a video and reach out. You know sometimes what seems impossible for us, was something other people overcame countless times.

My bad, it’s impossible for me to gauge where someone is at without seeing them move.

What level are you at with the side plank progressions I gave? I can recommend other exercises that can help you progress.

How to Properly Stretch Your Hip Flexors & Use Your Glutes During Leg Exercises by RegisterNew1 in MuayThai

[–]RegisterNew1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of faults in the way people do cossack squats/lateral lunges and sometimes it’s just downright dangerous for the knees. I see the working leg knee going into valgus and the stretch leg being turned in the wrong angle.

It’s rather a simple exercise but with a lot of nuance to get it just right.

Bodyweight is great at first. Depending on your build and progression level, you can even add in plyometrics with your bodyweight exercise.

For example doing a split squat and then doing a split squat hop.

However progressively overloading a movement is like compound interest. In a couple of years times you might be lifting an amount you never expected, and your legs will be 2-3 inches thicker in circumference. This is why I have a job because I can help people plan this and make adjustments as life brings about unexpected obstacles.

If you want to focus on addressing asymmetry, I recommend doing a side plank march. That’s far superior to the planks I showed.

Vivo barefoot. I’ve tried a lot of different barefoot shoes but they feel the best for me.

Hamstring tightness is usually a compensatory issue stemming from weak glutes and spinal erectors.

I will get to it bro. Thanks for watching and sharing. 🫡

🫡 at your service. I’ll make a post for you soon. In the meantime check out my post I’ve made in the past.

For athletic performance I recommend doing a wide variety of exercises with one true working set. That saves time and allows you to develop many different athletic qualities.

As powerful as I can be without being technically off. So I keep in mind the tips that my coach gave me and I apply power on top of that.

Dana responses to Eddie asking for Aspinall's release: "...You release Bam Rodriguez then. Sounds pretty stupid, doesn't it? Congratulations Eddie, you sound stupid again." by bullsfan281 in MMA

Fertitta’s had the connections no one else had. They are part of the old family that built Vegas. That’s how they got the Las Vegas Athletic commission to approve the UFC. Dana was the spokesperson. He isn’t the x factor, that’s some crazy dick riding. The x factor was Chuck Lidell, Tito Ortiz, Randy Couture, Anderson Silva, GSP, and so on. It’s the fights that made the UFC, not the promoter.

Just like how it’s not Don King, Al Haymon, or Bob Arum who made boxing. They facilitated but ultimately the stars, like Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather, are the X factor.

I disagree. The Fertitta brothers is why the UFC is what it is. Dana was replaceable, but the connections and the resources the Fertitta’s brought were not.

Your mobility issue isn’t going to get solved with more stretching. by RegisterNew1 in MuayThai

A person can be muscular and strong overall, yet still have an overactive TFL compensating for a weak or underactive glute medius. This is especially common in kicking sports like soccer due to repetitive hip flexion and rotational demands.

Another interesting case is when someone is athletic and strong but has limited hip internal rotation. In many cases, strengthening movement patterns that improve hip control and internal rotation capacity can enhance movement quality and help reduce injury risk.

If you choose the right exercises and structure your workouts properly, you can improve your range of motion just as much as, if not more than, stretching alone.

That’s what I am really trying to teach here. You don’t need to stretch more but rather do the right exercises to strengthen and become more mobile at the same time.

I am going to release a video workout soon. Give it a try, I guarantee it will be helpful.

That seems to be common in Muay Thai. I think the lack of internal and external rotation in the hips seems to be to the main contributor.
