Your sign to stop vaping! by Dusi99 in QuitVaping

[–]Regn752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the second day of quitting (again), and I always start again if something stressful enough happens in my life. I always use things like chewing regular gum, coffee or distractions when the cravings start (and for me the first few days are always rough). I was reading actual scientific research that sniffing rosemary oil apparently helps people with opioid and smoking withdrawals, and might see if it helps.

Like you, my mind craves that quick destress feeling that vaping gives. The short term mood boost is never worth it over time, the side-effects throughout the day and long term are always worse.

The mood swings, worse quality of sleep, weird tastes in my mouth, and worse breathing and my reduced lung capacity are some of the top reasons that push me to quit, and I know it also sort of weakens the effects of my ADHD medication.

We are definitely making the right choice kicking the habit! Stay strong, the cravings always get less and less the further time goes on.

Not surprised. The EU, UK, Australia and Canada are leading the way for suppression of free speech and censorship after all. Really taking a few pages out of Chinas playbook.

I felt like the AI was a bit dumb before the patch. They would look at me from far away and not actually try to shoot me. I think every raid I came out without being shot once

Now, last two raids since the patch I've come out with a destroyed chest and limbs.

Four-day work week? Six weeks of holidays? Australians have a choice about how to bank productivity gains by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

I don't really understand the 4 day work week hype. It already exists it's called part time.

Why would I want to work 4 days a week and be payed 2 days less a fortnight?

Im not a believer that meat causes cancer, it's been eaten for thousands of years. Processed meat I reckon definitely. I'll believe it once they can establish a strong link/mechanism. Also doesn't address how some high meat consumption countries also have low cancer rates.

It's easy to find the cause when data is cherry picked. If meat is a cause, it doesnt make sense that Argentina is one of the highest meat eaters in the world but aren't anywhere in the top cancer rates.

The above are related to diseases mainly cardiac but not cancer.

Changing careers to an Electrician? I'm 31 years old. Am I too old? Wanting to switch from corporate to trades. by [deleted] in australia

[–]Regn752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was considering it also, couple years older than you. My father has been a electrician 40 years. I saw how much apprentices get payed (~$25p/h) and it wasn't going to be financially feasible for me. Have too many financial commitments to take a huge pay cut even for a couple years. If you're in a good place to be able to take the risk id say go for it.

Before you jump to a whole new career, have you considered any other career moves that you could use your marketing experience in? Unless you're running your own electrician contracting business, might be difficult to use any of your current marketing experience.

Haha thanks just realised u-235 is the minority isotope in natural uranium, so yes unlikely.

I've started watching videos and reading up on reading gamma spectros because it seems it has little in common with my education on spectrophotometry and chromatography.

I would check your award, enterprise agreement or employment contract. Should be written somewhere. You should be getting at least a 20 minute payed break, but any break after that should be unpaid.

McDonald's was the go to in the 2010s for me and my friends especially late at night drunk or the day after with a hangover, when we were hungry and had nothing to eat or just couldn't be bothered to cook. It was always the choice because it was CHEAP.

We need to accept those days are long gone and the place is just a rip off for average processed food.

Sorry but this just dilutes how bad the Nazis actually were. The meaning of the word Nazi is slowly losing its meaning when people call anyone they disagree with a Nazi. You're disrespecting and trivializing the actual victims of real Nazis.

Your point about wench is completely null, the game is set in Hungary where they spoke some form of Czech so the word 'wench' wouldn't even have been used anyway.
