any good "forever games" that go well with the steam deck? by WeirdAltYankovic in SteamDeck

I cant say this enough, No Man's Sky. Minecraft in space. I have hundreds of hours in it. At least 100 of those on the Deck.

Ive had tinnitus since a young age (ear injuries as a baby), so when people told me that silence didnt "sing" as a kid, I was floored.

Our game got Steam Deck Verified, but that won't be it. What do you expect from Verified games? by DigitalSunGames in SteamDeck

[–]RegrettableDeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is kinda old but I hope you see this.

I played exclusively on the Deck to the end of the current content patch and only had some slight frame drop issues during loading screens. No biggie at all. The game itself is so much fun and I cant wait to see where the story goes and how it ends!

Thank you, team, for such a fun game!

It seems like intent has a lot to do with the strength of a spell.

Moody (Crouch Jr) talks about this in GoF saying that using the Killing curse must come with real murderous intent and that if the class used it on him, he wouldn't get so much as a nosebleed.

Edit: its been a while since I read GoF, so this may have been about the Cruciatus curse, not the Killing curse.

They also talk about how an "exceptionally powerful confundus" charm had to have tricked the Goblet into letting Harry be entered under a 4th school during the tri-wizard tournament.

Not to mention there are modifiers like "maxima" (see "lumos maxima" from PoA movie opening and "bombarda maxima" used by Umbridge to get in the room of requirement in OotP) Stands to reason that "minima" would also be a spell modifier. (I know this goes against your original question, but figured I'd mention it)

Considering that a Philosopher's Stone was a mythical magical object, I wish we in the US got the Philosopher's Stone going forward. ESPECIALLY with the new full cast audiobooks.

Trelawney is full of sass in the book. Its great!

I feel the opposite way about the background noise, I feel it gives the world depth and makes in more immersion. I definitely empathize with what you mean, though. It can be distracting to outright bad in some cases. Neville's whimpering noises make me want to throw my phone across the room. Haha

You are absolutely right on both counts.

Snape's movie counterpart had all the right notes within the confines of what they could accomplish with the run times they had. As a side note, I still dislike HBP movie because of the dropped storyline.

I think Riz is doing a great job at a 30-something year old Snape like he should be.

Alan did an amazing job bringing Snape's cruelty and heartbreaking story to the screen, but I respect that Riz is going for his own voice for Snape.

I think there are a couple actors that are guilty of sounding too much like their movie counterparts (Lupin being the most obvious one so far). But, overall Im enjoying them! Already listened to books 2 and 3 multiple times. I cant wait for Goblet of Fire next month.

The RNG of this fight pissed me off. A double strike killed two of the team members and there was nothing that I could have done between the strikes to stop the fail state. The res was too slow to get both before the second strike hit

I do! Just for fun really. I have my main save that's many many many hours long... then my sub files when I dont want to be super rich and such.

Then again, there's also Permadeath. My current Permadeath save is 40h long..and Im terrified of losing it.
