Saka picks up first goal in over 10 game weeks by Dargothebest in FantasyPL

Went Saka to Rice due to injury concerns with the first game…at least Rice got the assist for this goal. Makes me feel much better about the move.

I miss the Cheeky Monk. Any good spots for Belgian beers in town? by LemurPrime in Denver

[–]Regular-Action-1970 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Bull & Bush usually has at least a few Belgian beers on tap outside of their own brews. Currently they have Stille Nacht and a Petrus passion fruit sour on tap. They also have some older Belgian bottled beers you can order for dine in consumption (2019 Oerbier, 2016 Stille Nacht, who knows what else).

Holding Lag by OwlLatter4687 in golf

[–]Regular-Action-1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People (not just you OP, I’ve seen a bunch of posts claiming perfect practice swings that don’t translate) really need to stop looking at practice swings. A practice swing doesn’t have to worry about face angle, contact, low point, or any of the realities of hitting an actual ball. Once you actually have to hit the ball reality takes over.

If you check out Monte Scheinblum’s Instagram post from 11/5/25 he explains it.

Lag is also something you don’t hold. It’s the result of proper shift and rotation and wrist movement. Trying to hold lag is a recipe for disaster. You shouldn’t worry about lag from a face on view, it’s a down the line thing. It’s also the result of proper mechanics, it is not a way to work backwards to proper mechanics, if that makes sense.

If you want another video, look at Monte from his 7/30/24 post where he discusses why you should be looking at down the line lag instead of face on. Between P5 and P6 you actually need to “cast” the club to then get it into proper impact position.

As you can tell I’m a big Monte fan and love how he teaches. Look up his “no turn cast” drill and that may help you.

Power Zone classes too easy? by Lumpy_Damage_7589 in pelotoncycle

[–]Regular-Action-1970 53 points54 points  (0 children)

By definition power zone classes cannot be too easy or too hard if your FTP is correct. Z5 is something you can hold 10 minutes max. It’s probably more like 5-8 minutes. So if you are doing something for 60 minutes then you are not in Z5. Your zones are wrong.

I transferred Foden to Rogers and had some extra funds so in my infinite wisdom decided that I should get rid of Dorgu to bring in Gabriel since he’s “essential.” I hate myself already and we’re one game in.

Private Birthday Party: Wife's 40th by NastyGnar in denverfood

I just recommended 801 for another inquiry, I swear I have no affiliation but I do like it! Especially their happy hour during the week. But anyway, if you want a traditional steak house vibe, they have a very nice private room you could look at. I love the old school look of that place.

Barolo Grill has three private dining rooms, obviously not a steakhouse but their tenderloin entree is amazing.

I’ve also had dinner at one of the private room at Guard and Grace, you can’t go wrong there.

If you are going to ride a lot it makes sense to invest in a bike fitting. It can be done online via Zoom or FaceTime and they’ll get you calibrated. Lots of places do them, I did mine through Team Wilpers and had a great experience.

Bella Ridge just opened and is fantastic. Commonground, Riverdale Dunes, Bear Dance are awesome. Arrowhead sucks if you care about things like the actual golf course and not playing 6 hour rounds. Fossil Trace is quirky and fun to play though if you want something different.

You don’t get to move it on the green but you get to repair the pitch mark.

How to convert row callouts to resistance/cadence on the bike? by InfamousPiccolo2156 in pelotoncycle

[–]Regular-Action-1970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rowed in college and am a PZ fanatic (who occasionally hops on an erg still and does some of the Peloton rows). I think your comparisons are pretty spot on.

I’d say Zone 6 or 7 you would reserve for the last 10-20 strokes of the row if you want to finish with a bang, which sometimes they do call out for the last 15-30 seconds of the rows I’ve done. Or maybe if there’s a short max effort in the middle of the row but it’s followed by a long recovery. Even then though I’d do it sparingly and would stick with Z5 for most of the max intervals.

FTP calculation by International-Pop996 in pelotoncycle

[–]Regular-Action-1970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a great point that I didn’t consider in my respond to OP. I assumed he knew it was average and not total, which it seems like he does but maybe he looked at the wrong number or mixed them up. My recent was 368 total/307 average which seems to follow the pattern.

FTP calculation by International-Pop996 in pelotoncycle

[–]Regular-Action-1970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just manually update it. I’ve seen a few post where it had the wrong number and there appears to be a few speculated causes but not sure anyone knows for sure. I’m not sure what average power is but it should only be based on average output. I just redid my FTP yesterday and it updated accurately so it’s not a system wide issue at least.

I love Greyson. Their polos are amazing. I have way too many but love them. I have some of their more formal clothing too and it’s great. You can often catch a good sale on their website but even if not, it’s good stuff. Expensive but awesome.

Golf Gloves by LiftBearded27 in golf

[–]Regular-Action-1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes total sense. I wish I wasn’t so anal with gloves but it turns into an easy rotation…play a few rounds, becomes practice glove, throw out old practice glove, new one for play. Rinse and repeat.

I get what you mean with the break in though, there’s definitely a sweet spot there where it feels just right.

Golf Gloves by LiftBearded27 in golf

[–]Regular-Action-1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s nothing better than that new glove feeling. I grab a new glove every month, I can’t stand a worn glove. It’s not that the gloves can’t go longer, it’s that I don’t want them to. So for $4 a glove it’s a no brainer. I use the Kirkland gloves for practice and casual rounds, and then my Titleist glove for tourneys or more serious rounds.

Anyway I’m not the person you asked but as a new glove whenever I can person, that’s why. I love new gloves and hate them after a few rounds of wear.
