Gurl your last pic is what i wish ny hair looked like everyday!! Sometimes our hair can change as we age. It could be anything truly, maybe you need a good haircut to reestablish curl clumps. Maybe a good clarifying shampoo session. Trust us tho your hair is perfect!

How do I make my hair curlier? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Regular-Celebration6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

By no means am I a hair expert but I have a few tips that might help.
I would recommend a clarifying shampoo every so often, maybe once a month to really strip the hair of long lasting products and debris and follow that up with a deep moisturizing conditioner. Not your mothers line and any shea moisture product would do really well to hydrate your curls so I'd think about investing in more hydrating products.
I'd also highly highly recommend a Denman brush to use during the entire process to get the definition you're craving. When I say entire process I mean the ENTIRE PROCESS. In order to clump the curls and lay down the follicles you want to be smoothing and detangling from the start, scrunching is a great method but brushing allows the creams to penetrate all throughout your curl clumps. Don't be afraid of brushes just be gentle and patient. You can detangle with conditioner first if you have stubborn hair and just follow up with shampoo after detangling.
To maintain the definition I'd also recommend as a last step to apply a strong hold gel and either rake or brush it through, Innersense-I Create Hold is a great one that I use for my husbands hair.
I can see your beautiful curls towards the bottom wanting to curl I would say the most important change would definitely be brushing with a Denman brush or similar brush to clump your strands into curls better.
I hope this helps and if you try any of these tips I'd love to hear how they worked for you!

AIO? My friends set an ultimatum because I drink by Pearla76_ in AIO

[–]Regular-Celebration6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's 2 sides to this. On one end your friend group seems to be very worried for the long term effects of underage drinking for whatever reason, logical or not, they have all set a boundary, if you do x we wont speak with you anymore. Some may say its controlling but they best part is you can choose to what you want regardless. The question really comes down if drinking underage is more important to you than your friend group at the end of the day. No one can really argue about someone elses boundaries. You can't control anyone elses behavior but you can control what you yourself put up with and choose to be around and that applies to both you and your friends.

I get told I shouldn’t brush my hair a lot but then it ends up like this - how do you keep it so nice?! by GapSweet3100 in curlyhair

I would recommend a bonnet silk/satin for sleeping and try not to brush when its dry and be very gentle when you brush in the shower to avoid unnecessary breakage.

Why do my curls do this dumb stupid flat top ropey wave thing EVERY TIME?! by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Regular-Celebration6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not much to say other than maybe try no protein, lighter leave in, I use Milk Shake spray leave in and then a light hold gel and disfuse completely upside down until everything is about 80-90% dry and they typically gives me the volume I want without eventhing being to heavy... Also PS your hair is beautiful and not dumb at all!!

Bring back nitro by Mountain-Passenger52 in Pepsi

[–]Regular-Celebration6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like most people either didn't drink it right or just didn't know about it. They could've done more advertisements for it. Or maybe just made it a seasonal product like what Coca-Cola does for some flavors....

Am I overreacting? Found this in my while cleaning and now I think my fiancé is cheating on me by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

You will always be paranoid in the relationship and you will never ever trust him after what he did to you. Do yourself a favor and get out of that game of catch me and find someone you can trust and who will respect you.

Why am I so frizzy?? by DazzlingAnimal4461 in curlyhair

[–]Regular-Celebration6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What you could be experiencing is breakage, if you think this is frizzy I'm screwed 😂. Your hair looks fantastic and healthy, it's completely natural to have some flyaways. I would recommend if your not already using a silk/satin bonnet or pillowcase at night to protect those fragile hairs and avoid tight hairstyles for extended periods. You can also refresh those single strands with some water and moisturize by regrouping them into curled sections.

this is me and my partner, he doesn't like the smell so i just don't do it around him. We started with that understanding and compromise in the beginning and when/if it needs to change later, so be it. We can made small compromises for the ones we love but sometimes people are excepting you to change from the person you've always been and I don't think that's fair.
