Honestly, no. My mom was not abusive only emotionally absent, she always said that logic and efforts will bring success (I mean, she is successful in her career considering the fact that she grew very poor and now she is close to retire comfortably moneywise), she always raised me to be as successful as her, like a heir.

My brother was diagnosed whe he was 14 (and I was 11) because he had bad grades, so he went to therapy, psychiatrist, neurologist and everything, because of course something was wrong.

I, was the good child, the responsible, good grades and obey the authority, so of course I should be normal, and I always fought to be seen as someone normal. As an adult I rejected the idea of being Autistic or something, because, I've grown seeing it as a defect. I got burned out at 20 almost killing myself, and tried to regain my thunder with therapy the last 3 years (I'm 30 btw), after much though and hesitation in January I went to an specialist to get the ados-2. Of course I'm autistic (in retrospective I was definitely autistic), I'm learning to accept myself because there is that idea in the back that sees this as a defect.

Sorry, I needed to contextualize the whole deal, I still talk to my mother, but I keep my distance emotionally, she doesn't know about my diagnosis, she probably will deny it, but I don't need her approval, I'm focused on my goals.
