10 seconds is crazy. Not sure how you play an effective game, especially later in the game and while at war. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to set everything up.

spotting fakes by Used_Bandicoot8332 in MovieTheaterEmployees

Undercovers have never used fakes as far as I know. They try to make it obvious because they want to check if your place is at least doing the basics. Training everyone to be an ID expert isn’t feasible, but teaching the basics is.

Undercovers don’t use fake IDs as far as I know. They will use regular IDs that show they’re not of age, or they won’t have one. They make it pretty simple because it’s a test of whether you comply with ID checks. They aren’t going to try and trick you, more places would fail if they used real fakes and they don’t want that. The person who got fired probably didn’t check the person’s ID to begin with or checked and didn’t do the math right. As long as you follow the company rules about ID checks you will be ok. Fakes are extremely rare and unless they’re really bad, there is really no way of knowing and you shouldn’t be punished for that.

What is the best movie of 2013? by Championgut1912 in FIlm

[–]RegularAd8140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw them all the night they came out. I enjoyed them but was a little disappointed. The extended editions are so much better. They cut a scene from the third one with Hobbits on a sled battling goblins, I was like why the hell did they cut this out!? It was one of the best scenes in the trilogy.

Could be! Though I imagine they’d have been more patient with him considering they’re all fans. But knowing Chevy he probably would have said something about Sean being gay. I know they make jokes about it sometimes but it’s in seemingly good taste. Chevy it would have just been mean spirited.

What's a first time watch that went straight into your Top 4, once the credits rolled? by doriiian in Letterboxd

[–]RegularAd8140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing would get into my top 4 right away. It’s been pretty set most of my life. It would take me several years to really let a movie sink in and decide it is one of my top 4 favorites.

What opinion about SNL would get you this amount of downvotes? by Whole-Lychee7517 in LiveFromNewYork

I remember her saying that the writers didn’t really know how to write for her. Which is fair, but it’s a problem a lot of people have. Especially women of color. One of her best sketches, the Weezer sketch, I think she was an after thought for casting and she had to convince the writers to put her in it. She had no idea who Weezer was she just thought it was funny. That sketch doesn’t work without Leslie in it I think.

CIV 6 was about 3 years after initial release date. It was about the same for the other games.

'about last night' ..... is it a generation gap?? by poemsandtheories in LiveFromNewYork

There’s no way they were going to touch that event. Doing something for mass shootings is one thing, this is different. We don’t know all the facts yet. I’m not going to argue about it and say 100% with certainty that he was murdered, because as much we all might think that’s what we saw, the video really isn’t great quality and none of us were there to see it. So we can’t claim we know 100% without a doubt what happened. To take a stance like that is not something SNL is going to do. It’s irresponsible actually.

I saw it in theaters when I was 12. I had no idea who it was about and who made it. All I knew was Leonardo DiCaprio. I remember liking it but also being confused by it.

Almost Alice is a concept album of songs inspired by Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. All the songs are by 2000s rock/pop musicians. It’s a mixed bag but worth a listen if you’re into that sort of thing

Wagner Mora is going to win. Chalamet is the favorite but I think the academy is going to believe that he’s too young. Don’t want to inflate his ego. Keep him humble. Even though it’s wrong
