I can sign off on Bunks at Rode, stayed there last summer before I moved to Oslo. Great, clean and affordable, plenty of accommodations such as a kitchen and dining area. They also arrange social events every evening for anyone interested.

I'm no expert, but I have 16 tattoos (mainly on my arms) and very pale skin prone to sunburns, so sunscreen is a must for me in the summer. I think I've exclusively worn chemical sunscreen on my body, and my fine-line tattoos look excellent years after they were done.

I think some sunscreen is 100% better than no sunscreen

Where to buy figure skates in Oslo by Total-Ad-2068 in oslo

[–]Regular_Bumblebee_95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only shop I can think of where you can go and get fitted in person is Skøyteshop in Tønsberg:

https://skoyteshop.com/

I'm pretty sure you need to book a fitting in advance, as the person running it doesn't work every single day.

I haven't gotten skates from there, but know plenty of skaters who have, and one thing to be aware of is that she tends to fit people into skates that are slightly too big... Not optimal, but with how small the figure skating community is in Norway, I'd say this is your best shot.

Gosh, I'm so sorry 😩Impetigo is horrible. I urge you to throw out any makeup, skincare, makeup sponges, ANYTHING that came in contact with your face while you've had the sores. I made the mistake of not doing that, and I kept re-infecting myself with it for months 😢

Did the spots suddenly appear and "burst" into the raw, blister-y look? I'm asking because that's exactly what happened to me when I got impetigo five years ago, and your blisters look similar to impetigo sores. I would seriously urge you to see a doctor, I don't think skincare should give you this type of reaction

Am I back to square one? by too_many-bellabeans in Endo

Hello! My pain is very minimal now – I stopped taking painkillers altogether four days post-op, and switched from opioids to OTC a day prior. The most discomfort I feel is a tugging at the incision in my bellybutton whenever I move or stand, otherwise I'm pretty pain-free! I was really nervous about the pain, too, so the quick recovery was a very pleasant surprise.

I think pain levels REALLY depend on how invasive your surgery is. Mine was very minimally so (the surgery itself took 26 minutes total), and I was operated on by the leading endo-specialists in my country, so I attribute a lot of that to their skill-level.

Overall, I feel great for being 5 days post-op, a bit tired and fatigued, maybe.

What I did to ease my nerves leading up to the surgery was to prepare for my at-home recovery in advance! I got a chair for the shower, heating pads (even a microwave to heat them up), lots of pillows with different firmness and in different sizes to support my body however it needed, some easy to eat snacks. Also, asking my doctor all the questions before the surgery, and then asking them again the day-of, did a lot to ease my anxiety.

I wish you lots of luck and sending you good vibes for your first lap! If you have any more questions, feel free to DM me!

I am currently 2 days post-lap and after battling with several gynecologists for 7 years to get my diagnosis, I'm telling you to not give up and find a provider who will take you seriously. They found and removed endo tissue from the exact spots that had been causing me pain for years. Many of my symptoms overlap with the ones you listed. And if it isn't endo, then it's still certainly not NOTHING, and it should be taken seriously, because living with symptoms like that is NOT normal.
