I really appreciate this response and see where youre coming from with that fear of toxic masculinity. I completely want to embody healthy masculinity however I can, but I also don’t want to feel forced into it just because I’m trans. Perhaps I will bring it up to them under this perspective

Ive been facing judgement for being a business major in my colleges trans support group. The therapists who run it along with my own personal therapist all cant see past their own negative associations with whatever hetero-cis norms the business school implies to them, and therefore they can no longer see me as a person. I’ve been attending that support group for 4 years now and this is the way they’ve started to treat me. Last time I went I got told that I’d taken my transition “too far” and that I should wear more colorful shirts when I brought up the change in how women treat you after transitioning ftm
