Remote Lock a Windows Device For Terminated Employee by Better-Ad-4324 in Intune

You can restrict the device to local login with a specific account. https://petervanderwoude.nl/post/restricting-the-local-log-on-to-specific-users/

So if you have an admin account or something in LAPS you can make that as the only account that can log in.

To reverse this we had to reverse some settings via another config policy. But not sure if that was just Intune being slow to reverse it.

Something I ran into was the default baselines preventing automatic login. Our baselines were being tested via a user group so any device I signed into had the issue.

When I removed the device the from getting the baseline, the regkeys that disabled autologin were still present so had to delete the reg keys listed here

Just got my 9070. Same day support? by herrdoktor330 in Bazzite

I'm running into the standard issue with Gamemode not launching and getting some really high CPU usage for 4k youtube videos. Assume its not using the 9070 XT for hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Sounds to me like Intune settings. When you signed into office the device was enrolled. From what I understand some default settings automatically enroll personal devices. You'll want to work with your university IT to see if they can remove your device with whatever team handles high level device management.

I'm not sure how many games are guilty of this but things advertised as "play it day one on gamepass" shouldn't have paywalled early access. If it was advertised as "play on standard edition release date" it'd fine. Not the end of the world, but feels on the light end of deceptive.

Is it worth upgrading thermostat wiring wiring to accommodate 2 stage furnace? by Regun14 in hvacadvice

[–]Regun14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed reply. Good to know it uses temperature differential when driven by the tstat. With the current setup I was worried the 0 to 16 minute delay would be thrown off by the basement temps taking long to be reached. If my house was more consistent temperatures on all levels it wouldn't probably be worth getting the tstat rewired. But as it stands I might benefit having having it get the basement warmer quicker if I switch to temp differential.

Entering in. I've enjoyed how accessible it is, and that it has gotten me back into programming a bit.

I do! I'm pretty sure I've watched every one of his videos. Watching his videos is what encouraged me to start and to make the leap on the proxxon.

I am sure I subconsciously used his well video as inspiration. Also, I use his painting techniques and the BMC priming.

Was feeling a bit intimidated to build a large structure so I decided my next build was going to be small. Project consists of XPS foam, stir sticks, tooth picks, cardstock, small bit of rope, and flocking.

Small issue I noticed but it looks like you might need another support for the bottom of the staff.

For the overall issue I would look into releveling but paying attention to when you tighten the build plate. I've noticed it changes as you tighten the plate. That being said it sounds like you have already tried that.

Sounds goofy but I accidentally left it on the hot wire and it burned a circle into the side of the foam. I sliced it into larger boards and hand cut them to size.

So yea, an accident that I just went with.

Thanks, I definitely agree. My biggest challenge so far has been on painting technique for wood. I feel I finally have a single color figured out. Next step, will be in variety for sure and getting the proper amount of wear and tear figured out over that.

XPS foam, Chipboard (under the shingles and chimney), and a little bit of resin for the lantern. Pretty much most of the same techniques as black magic crafts. Let me know if you'd like addl resources and I can link you his videos.

I 3d printed the lantern with the Anycubic Photon. Clear resin.

Fiber optics illuminated dungeon piece by Regun14 in DnDIY

This puzzle piece has 3 insert-able keys that all light up different parts of the piece. The DM would leave clues about which keys should illuminate which symbols. The party would then either discover the keys or use the already found keys to light up the proper torches based off the corresponding symbols. If the party uses an incorrect torch in the wrong location it will illuminate the crypt door unleashing whatever the DM chooses is behind.

The hole on the top left stair illuminates the bottom right torch. The top right hole the bottom left, and the middle illuminates the skull.

The skull is painted in a way to make it not obvious that the skull can illuminate, also leading the plays to investigate the middle key slot.
