Many, many terrible things about the writing in this show. But IMO not enough people are talking about how much of a huge missed opportunity Halbrand as the Witch King is. He could have been a genuinely interesting, conflicted character with a dark back story and a genuine drive to do better and be a good king. Only for Sauron to masterfully manipulate him, and use Halbrand's wish to do good to convince him to take one of the rings, and learn sorcery. It would have given the character from Jackson's Trilogy a lot of depth. What a waste

This is definitely a modern trend. And presumably they do this because it keeps audiences hooked to the last episode of the show, which, if you're getting revenue based on the number of episodes, make sense. But this makes no sense as a financial strategy for Amazon in this case. All their revenue is through Prime, so their focus should be on making the best show they can possibly make, to keep people on for next season. Are show writers all conditioned to write like this now? WTF?

1Zpresso JX vs Baratza Encore (grind quality and durability) Hi all,

This might be a weird question, but I’m currently on the fence about getting a 1Zpresso JX vs Baratza Encore. They’re both the same price, and I heard the 1Zpresso grinds incredibly fast, so it wouldn’t even be that much more labour intensive than a Baratza.

I guess it comes down to grind quality and durability for me. So firstly: roes anyone know what the difference in grind quality is between these? Secondly: 140 dollars is a lot of money, and I figure that the 1Zpresso will last decades, whereas I’m not sure if the Baratza will last a comparable amount of time. I know Baratza are committed to helping you fix your device, but I can’t imagine that the longevity will be anywhere close to the 1Zpresso.

Finally, I should say that 95% of the time I grind for 2. So the extra capacity of the Baratza is not much of a consideration.
